Tennessee Athletics posted an interview with Kim Caldwell on YouTube where she talked about their portal recruiting strategy. Mentioned emphasizing how hard it will be and “almost wanted to scare people away” to make sure players were are tough enough.

Obviously you need high standards to compete in the SEC but after the exodus and bare roster I was a bit surprised by that strategy. I think they’ve done well/better than expected in the portal overall tho.
