2026 Transfer portal

Yesterday I was told 94 Feet lacked credibility. Now that it was shown to be correct the problem is stealing. I'm confused.
Just roll with it, bro. Lol. I mean it just didn’t magically appear on Skim’s desk either.

If they're stealing the information without crediting the original source, how can one think they're credible? 94ft also will just retweet based on other random handles without verifying, like the rumour Coach Mulkey was retiring.

All I can think of is that Booker took 26% of the team’s FG attempts on the season. That’s pretty high for a team with a roster that balanced. Players might’ve felt a certain way about her taking 23 shots when it clearly wasn’t her night.

You go down with the ship with your best player. I wish UConn would've found a way to get Strong more than 16 shots in the semis despite her off-night.

What is BUR? And does Skim divulge her sources?

The community that Skim and Men’s Basketball’s “Trilly Donovan” built. As you can see from the screenshot, Skim had this information ready just after the Final Four. No sources are divulged, but she’s been more than credible.

I disagree--14.8 shots per game from your go to player who shoots over 50% from the floor is a very reasonable number. It'd be wild for players to transfer out based on one bad game from Booker after she carried them in the tournament.

The Jordan Lee transfer is stunning when you look at her situation. She had a solid freshman year and got more minutes as the season went on. Her sophomore season her production skyrocketed, she got 11.8 shots per game on a top 4 team and played 32 minutes a night. Individually she improved a lot and gained a reputation for being a standout at a top program. She was projected to play a similar role on a title front runner next year, and her senior year she's projected to be a potential go to player and a 1st round WNBA draft pick. All the pieces were there for Texas to make a serious run at a title and she'd be a major factor in it. That's about as good of a set up as anyone could ask for. Not to mention the money, resources, top coaching, fan support and facilities that Texas offers. And Austin is an amazing college city and offers a great education.

I’ve concluded that no matter what date they place on the portal…it’s ALWAYS open for busine$$.

I don’t like Vic. So, I get it lol.
He's not everyone's cup of tea, but when regular starters and contributors on back to back FF teams that would be in the hunt to be in it again are leaving, something doesn't sit right with me.

What more could Lee want? I'm confident TX was paying well given their resources. I don't think Vic, who is far from perfect, suddenly changed his personality or approach.

Very strange times now.

Not going to lie this is the part of sports I find difficult to stomach. I only know what I see in here. I know who Skim is. Well, not really. I just know Skim. Never heard of the other guy because I watch like 3 mens teams. I just see these folks as no different from most other “influencers”. They may have some inside hookup, but for the most part they just repeat what they heard somewhere else. I guess the angst here is not being cited as THE source? And of course, there’s followers and therefore...money involved, right? I thought access to the portal was supposed be restricted? If that’s the case…it appears someone has monetized that access. I have a problem with that.

Texas losing three projected starters is the biggest shock of the portal season.
All good energy players who were doing good things whenever I looked up at their post-season games.
Unusual for Coach Schaefer to have what appears to be an exodus.

And they all were getting decent PT, especially Lee.
Maybe @southie can offer us perspective here but I thought Vic lost many people with his numerous rants this season including calling out his team when, if anything the issue was on coaching. To me, he now thinks he’s entitled to special treatment by the SEC, referees and his team. His team was still offensively challenged that relied too much on Booker and her mid range game. I think h th e team was/is just tired of the constant harping but as I said, I am viewing this from afar so I will defer to our Texas acolyte.

What exactly does this mean? "Vic . . . thinks he's entitled to special treatment by . . . his team"

Vic should have reeled in Booker against UCLA. Why allow her to take 23 shot attempts and have 0 assists while witnessing all her misses?

Might it be some combo reason why Texas players are transferring? NIL, Vic, plus maybe the players no longer want to play with Booker - especially with Rori headed to the WNBA?

Geno has always harped on his players. So why cannot Vic? Geno compliments his players in the media. Then follows up with a sarcastic negative remarks.

what's going on with Texas? Won the SECT and then made the Final Four and now a mass exodus and rumors of more on the way. Never been a fan of watching Vic Schaefer's brand of hoops but the portal departures have been suprising.

Hard disagree with this.

What has he done or said to think he's entitled to "special treatment?"

Vic calling out his team after a blowout loss led to a dominant win streak where they slaughtered the back half of their SEC schedule and cruised to a Final Four. Whether or not the team liked being called out, it sure worked.

And in no way was Texas offensively challenged this year. 85ppg, 50% FG and 1.5/1 A/TO ratio against the toughest schedule in the nation. They scored 76 points against UCLA (2nd highest total of any team this season) and scored 78 on South Carolina (2nd highest total given up by them in regulation). Booker had one flukeishly bad game on the biggest stage but they were much better offensively than they were a season ago.
