2026 Recruiting Thread

Northwestern gave him a late offer but he stayed with Toledo so they may be back in but Candle’s relationships are a big part of his recruiting

-> Dawson said that the Huskies may still be in the picture, however.

“Yeah, I’ve talked to Coach Braun,” said Dawson on Saturday, shortly after he announced his decision to opt out. “I haven’t talked much with Coach Candle, but I’ve been hearing from staff around him, and those following him, that I might have a spot at UConn.” <-

Interesting recruiting battles for these Toledo decommits and transfers. The Toledo DC went to Syracuse. Seems that Candle will be bringing some of the offense coaching staff and I am sure Candle getting QB Polston to commit to UConn will influence others on offense. It will be Syracuse vs UConn for some on the defensive side of the ball. Hoping Candle match Mora's propensity for bring in P4 transfers who want an opportunity. Should be fun watching Candle build his team.

I think Candle could bring some defensive staff over too and a there is a decent amount of their offers and one of the commits is on the defensive side. Even though he is hands off on the defensive side there are still stories of defensive players showing loyalty to Candle

Jason Candle bringing a little Christmas cheer to Husky fans 🎄🏈⭐

Can someone please tell me how many openings the Huskies currently have? I'm following closely the number of signees and commits and I am wondering how many more we can expect to sign

Thanks
