Quayd Hendryx is a 5-11 175lb WR/K from
Burlington Township High School, Burlington New Jersey. Other offers from Bryant, Buffalo, Delaware, Lafayette, Monmouth, New Hampshire, Old Dominion, Rhode Island, Southern Miss, StonyBrook, Syracuse and Temple.
Quayd was in Storrs on his official visit mid-June.
Highlights
Rather go to the transfer portal for WR- that along with RB and QB. You need to try and developed your own offensive and defensive linemen.5555% committed, what a load of shullbit. He meant best offers yet to come. Expect a tweet soon along the lines "Thank you UConn coaches...with that being said my recruitment is now open...".
Considering he posted receiving more offers after West Virginia...we got an open slot for someone who wants to be a standout WR at UConn...

We shouldn't overreact to kids decommiting as it happens to all schools. And it's good to see that players UConn recruited are good enough to get interest from other schools. I looked at some other schools and here are their decommits so far this year: Rutgers 6, Alabama 4, Syracuse 4, Ohio St. 3, BC 2, Michigan 2, UConn 2.This is going to happen, and sadly, without being in a conference, this may happen more often. I am far from happy about this, as we all are.
One thing HCRE said is that there are only your recruits when they sign on the dotted line.
X1000It’s about building relationships, worst case you have a kid who you may be able to call in a couple of years if/when they’re looking for a different experience.
Monkey see, monkey do:

It is not on his X.com page "Luke hatfield, OL from Battlefield HS in Virginia is decommitting and going to...Liberty RE: Closer to home.
Maybe. The Mountain West is kind of a cluster going forward and I wonder if Dan Mullen will stay after this season, but good luck to him!So he decommitted from UConn to go to UNLV? Is it because he wanted to stay out west?
I hope I am wrong but my source is pretty good. Unless my chain is getting jerked. LOLHas this been confirmed/reported anywhere? Haven't seen anything outside this post.
We’ll see… getting out the map. 😉Luke hatfield, OL from Battlefield HS in Virginia is decommitting and going to...Liberty RE: Closer to home.
Mora has done way better in the portal than high school recruiting.
UConn historically does not get many plug & play high school/prep kids but they do get big contributors with lower recruit rankings (Harper, Neider. Edward, etc…).We are not seeing much of an increase in high school recruiting. 2026 class ranking is 94 based on 247 Sports. UConn doing much better in the transfer portal.
