Honestly, good for her, she should be smiling. I don't think she's a top tier coach and she squandered too many top recruits to name while leading the Longhorns, but it takes gumption to take a huge step down in prestige and yet keep charging forward. And she did what Kate Paye couldn't do, which was get her team into the Tournament. So kudos.

UTSA was the only team to beat them in conference play too. I see it as UTSA getting payback from losing to Rice last year when the roles were reversed and UTSA was the top seed.

Murray St. is taking Evansville to the woodshed. In the other game, Charleston got off to a good start but is now trailing Hofstra at the half.

I'm gonna go ahead and call Murray St. They are "racing" past Evansville, up 25 midway thru Q4. Good for them. Went 19-1 in the MVC, will improve to 31-3 for the season. Shocking that what will be a 25 loss Evansville team got 1 game away from being in the Tourney.

Charleston rode a huge Q3 to the win and the bid from the CAA. In addition to having an excellent season (27-5), they prevented a 20+ loss team from getting in the Tourney. Good job.
