2026 ESPN 2026 SportsCenter NEXT 100 commits to date

I hear it's a battle between South Carolina and Stanford for Wynn and a battle between UConn, South Carolina and LSU for Jerzy. I don't have any intel but I am starting to feel good about both. We desperately need a talent like Jerzy in this class and the door will be wide open to compete for a starter spot as a freshman at the 2 guard -- which is almost unheard of in our system as of late.
Barring any transfers out/in, SC will have 1 guard (a pg, McDaniel) and 3 wing type players next year (T. Johnson, Makeer, McDowell).. Robinson will compete for substantial playing time at SG on day 1. Makeer will push for playing time at SG as well. Johnson is more of a 3 and McDowell a 3/4.

Looking at current roster considerations, SC is the best for early playing time.. which is rarely ever the case. Not since Zia Cooke have we relied heavily on a freshman at two guard.

I truthfully don’t see her starting (at least early on) at any of her finalists.

Transfers aside, I’d imagine the projected 26-27 starters for SC are Maddy, Tessa, Chloe/Agot, Joyce and Ashlyn (which would be scary). UConn should be KK, Ashlynn, Blanca, Sarah and Jana/Ice. LSU with Jada, Milaysia, Mikaylah, Grace and Kate.

Greed is running rampant in the Rust Belt. Good luck to the kid as she will have to shovel 13 inches of snow .... In November.

Side Note—Really intriguing the amount of top players in Texas leaving the state.

Have you ever been to Texas? 125 degree heat... Wild boars and amardillos running everywhere...

Baylor WBB coach Nicki Collen, asked about effect of NIL/portal on recruiting, says it seems like programs are offering more money than would be allowed with a hard revenue sharing cap (1/3 of cap for one top 50 player?)—she's not sure how that's happening

Coach Staley has made similar claims. In an interview she stated that she thinks some universities are making promises that they can't fulfill.

My interpretation of Collen's comments in this interview was that players were asking for that amount (not that programs were offering it). Raoul doing clickbait?
