I really don’t want to see three Big 10 teams on the Final Four. I kind of like hearing the commentators on CBS say that that conference hadn’t won a national championship since 2000 or whenever it was that Michigan State last won.

I don't know who it was in the threads but a bunch of people were talking about us possibly rooting for st johns is silly and that no orher conference would do that. BS! My in laws are all in Indiana, my best friends are big Ten freaks, they ALL root for every big ten team. As long as they aren't playing their team. I mean, big ten fans claim every big ten team as their own. (SEC too)... and it couldnt be more annoying, let me tell you. OSU fans were rooting for Michigan in the CFB championship a few years ago. I couldnt believe it

What's wrong with that? What's the point being in a conference if you don't root for your conference mates against out of conference opponents? When your conference mates play well, it makes the conference look good, and make your team look good.

For a conference like the Big East, it is even more reason to root for conference mates when playing against conferences that have more money etc.

UConn will have to win the Big Ten championship this year if we want to win it all.

Arizona has always been one of my west coast teams, just for whatever reason I always like their players and I can’t believe they have been stuck not getting over the hump.

Stoudamire, Stoudamire, Arenas, Walton, Bibby, Simon, Gardner, Budinger, Williams, now Burries and Peat. I just always like their players, and their uniforms are smooth too.

I agree w that until they skated for the Sean Miller fiasco. That was blatant major violation, far worse than fabricated, retroactive APR.

So setting aside Tennessee, we’ve shot, relative to our opponents, at least 25 less free throws over 3 games than anyone else who is left? About 8 fewer per game, as the lower bound i.e. nothing compared to the 18 fewer per game compared to Duke? Just insane.

We get a breeding, or an o’connell, or some other hater every game.

Yeah…..I dunno. There are limits to that.

All my family is from Michigan including many alumni. They would NEVER root for Ohio State in anything.

Same here, years of growing up in my teens watching their games on the old Fox Sports Net well past midnight during the school week. With their pros, uniform designs and sneaker rotation I looked at them as like the West Coast UConn before UConn separated themselves with the additional FF trips/titles.

Yup. I’m not surprised. Purdue is a veteran team with lots of tourney experience. Had a feeling they might be playing with their food a little during the regular season once UM had the reg season locked up. Purdue looks locked in.
