I really hope she doesn't go to Tennessee or Oklahoma just because I think she'll get the attention she wants without being pushed to grow. Both of those systems will mask her issues. I kind of hope she goes to NC State, Louisville or Maryland. Those feel like good fits to me.

I'm not sure about Louisville based on how they've performed the last couple seasons. Guard development hasn't been the same since Coach Purcell left for Mississippi State in my opinion.

I have heard nothing, but Ole Miss made sense to me. Not because it is a good fit. I've seen nothing to think OM would help with her rough edges, but it is the sort of program I would expect Fulwiley to choose and to be able and willing to pay.

Mississippi likely has more NIL relative to wealth than any other state, and OM probably has more than MSU and Southern Miss combined. Also, however large or small the set of schools that contacts kids from other schools before they are in the portal, I guarantee you OM is in the group.

I think the funniest possible outcome is Carolina staff has hurt feelings towards wherever she knows she is going and that place is OM. I'd just love to see how it affects the head coach dynamics.

Agreed. For as much success as Louisville has had under Walz, he hasn't developed any stand out pros aside from Angel McCoughtry. Some have carved out good careers, but compared to the likes of Brenda/Kim he's not nearly as good at prepping players for the pros.

I think Ole Miss would be a terrible fit for Fulwiley. She might get more minutes than she did at South Carolina but they're even more defensive focused without having any quality offensive play.

I would think NC State/Maryland/Kentucky are the 3 best options. Wes does a fantastic jobs with running sets to give his guards favorable matchups and allows them to create which is where Fulwiley thrives. Brenda at Maryland is one of the best coaches in the country at developing players for the WNBA, and Brooks is so focused on his stars so Fulwiley would get a lot of individual attention in Lexington.

Oklahoma plays a ton of offense but they're not good defensively. I don't see it as a good fit. Tennessee could be a great fit based on playing style but they're also undisciplined and a little wild. She also is unlikely to see 30 mpg most nights there.

I agree with this, but with extenuating circumstances. I don't think she got a fair shake while she was at Indy and has had to hop around a fair bit. Last season with the Mystics was the first team she got an extended amount of time on the court.

I think Engstler had a good year with Mystics. I thought this past year she started to figure the pros out.

Fair. The swerve started with my response about Louisville being a potential landing spot for Fulwiley and guard development. ;)

Perhaps he annually turns out competitive teams with little talent !

I think Durr's career would have turned out real solid had they not lost those two years to COVID, and never really seemed the same when they got back to league. Their first season in NYC was really solid--nearly 10ppg on 47%FG, and then they had to miss the next two season entirely.

I mean, read the thread and it makes sense. I agree we should focus on transfer portal announcements, but it's a natural leap to compare possible destinations for portal entrants, which naturally devolves into which coach would be good at what.

Like @TheFarmFan said, initially the response made sense becauseI someone suggested Louisville as a potential landing spot. It was a valid point initially in my opinion.

I'm really shocked that Durr didn't have a great WNBA career. Sometimes you have to have the right fit in both college and the pros. She did in college but not the pros.

This is like saying everyone is seeking happiness. The question is what each player thinks happiness consists in. And, like most (the rest) of us, most young people don’t have a deep sense of what they really want.
