A waiver would almost certainly be approved because the NCAA has no teeth to their rules anymore and they don't want another lawsuit.

I'm old school, sit out a year unless you have completed your degree or your coach leaves. Now to shake my fist at a cloud.

No waiver was granted to Talaysia Cooper when she transferred from SCar to UTenn after the cutoff and she had to sit out last year.

though that decision was made 2 years ago, which is centuries ago in the current era?

But made under the existing rules that haven’t been changed since.. of course, they could change tomorrow.

Great point.

Bureaucracies create this complexity in order to serve their own interest which is continued survival and expansion. Bureaucracies tend to be much more expansive in public settings and while private settings develop bureaucracies the feedback loop requires some adaption and constrained on the part of this bureaucracies

Yeah her on vandy would be a lot of fun. I think I like it more than her on nd, although at this point I'm pretty concerned with nds roster

As an outsider looking in, I think the kid wants to play. A lot!! So I’m willing to forgive her, watch her rise above this, and celebrate her wins. As adults, we sometimes can’t control our emotions and relationships, and make horrible mistakes. I know breaking up is hard, but let’s not harbor long-term bitterness or animosity, especially to student-athletes.

She arrived at Vandy yesterday and is still there. I'm told this is the first of four schools she will visit. No idea who the fourth one is. Not sure I feel great about Vandy's chances, but Shea will take her shot. Vandy is in the middle of exams, so I'm not sure how much interaction she'll have with the team since exams can throw the normal schedule off. Maybe that won't affect things.
