the short answer is that players overestimateAs I see it the players knew who was in front of them (more or less) when they decided to attend and came anyway. If a freshman wants to play big minutes, there are plenty of programs who aren't FF caliber programs to join. I feel the same way about the talented USC freshmen who are leaving. It takes a special freshman to come in and get minutes right away when someone like KiKi Rice or JuJu Watkins is a known commodity and will likely be the top players on the squad.
I have no problems with players who want to play but it seems some of them have unrealistic expectations. There are plenty of schools who will take these ladies but why sign in the fall until you have a better idea who is going to be around you?
