The Terps love Jersey players too.Maryland might be good landing place for Jersey. Brenda loves bigs and transfers whose names end in ‘fenbarger’.

She's listed as a writer for the USA Today Network and does the beat for the Gamecocks. Doesn't look like she's sketchy like other Twitter/X personas like the 94ftWBB poster who puts out inaccurate information. Is Lulu Kesin a credible source? I have only seen Fulwiley twice, against UConn. She seems to have incredible athletic skills, her block on Sarah was impressive. But to me it seemed like every time she touched the ball on offense, she tried to take a shot. She did pass once tho when she was going in for a shot and ended up in no man's land, resulting in a turnover trying to pass the ball. I know that I am looking at a small snapshot but to me she needs to go to a team where she is the chosen star, along the lines of JuJu and Caitlin Clark.
And wherever she ends up, I hope they aren't on our schedule.![]()

I've been referring to them recently as "compensated athletes who are enrolled in college courses".Would you prefer 'student athletes'?
Is there an alleged name to go with the alleged big already lined up?LSU allegedly have a a big already lined up in addition to Serah recruitment (w/ UNC/UCONN)
Has not been announced yet though
I think you are wrong. Heckel is a pretty goods ball player. And yes she can take over Kaitlyn's role. She is an aggressive defensive baller. She is a tough kid.1. I’m not saying they’re point guards. I don’t think in UConns system we need to adhere to strict positional basketball anyways but still. My point is that in terms of what a point guards role is. All of those players I mentioned can take on aspects of that role in the offense wether that’s initiating the offense in the half court, ball handling, passing/setting up teammates, defensive assignments, etc. And I’m not saying we can’t take in a point guard from the portal I’m saying I think if we do it should be to maintain or improve our current abilities at that position and I don’t think Heckel does that for us, whereas I think Kaitlyn did. Very key distinction there, seems that you’re overlooking that on purpose.
2. I actually think you’re downplaying Kaitlyn’s role on this seasons team. Heckel cannot take or replace Kaitlyn’s role. She’s a sophomore who played a marginal role with decent numbers on a good team. She is not an all conference POY graduate transfer (one and done) like Chen who came in with a proven record of high performance against top rated teams out of conference, and already had a bit of UConn pedigree playing for a UConn alum in a similar offensive system. We will have two higher-ceiling true PG on the roster next season, why do we need to spend 3 scholarship years and a roster spot on a player who is not an improvement on what we’ll already have. Thats my point. I’m not saying Heckel is not good or wouldn’t contribute anything, I’m stating my observations at the margins.
are you forgetting about their recent 6'5" transfer pick up from Notre Dame the other day?Is there an alleged name to go with the alleged big already lined up?
Remarkable that Smith, Wolfenbargar and Del Rosario all headed for the hills. And with Morrow graduating, the LSU front court is barren.
I think it's someone in addition to Koval. Could it be Kierra Wheeler? She followed Larry Vickers to Auburn and just decommitted..are you forgetting about their recent 6'5" transfer pick up from Notre Dame the other day?
Oops yes I certainly am ...are you forgetting about their recent 6'5" transfer pick up from Notre Dame the other day?
the portal is dizzying and I'm slow on the uptake
Sam'ayah dad was not happy LSU isn't giving enough $$ so they left immediately after season ended, to me that was the only big loss for LSU. Dad wanted over 300K for Sa'myah and LSU would not come close to matching that so she bolted immediately into the portal and now has a few schools already offering her much more than what she was getting at LSU.Is there an alleged name to go with the alleged big already lined up?

Supposedly, UVA is willing to pay that amount. That's like almost half their Alexis Ohanian money. SCHSL generally has rec league level coaching. I suspect had near zero player development before college. She often presses too hard. Around mid-point of this season, switch finally seemed to flip and she was Good MiLaysia for the first consistent stretch of her career. Coaches believe Edwards has the highest ceiling on the roster, but you can make a case it's , but also that is less likely than Edwards to max out her potential. Is Lulu Kesin a credible source? I'll just say that if there is a deficit on the Uconn roster it is the leadership that is walking out the door in both Paige of course but also Chen. And that was probably the most important part of getting Chen in, relieving a little of the pressure on Paige and giving her someone in the mold of what Geno gets from CD and the assistants - a sounding board. And she was not a long term commitment so the roster implications were for one year.We heard the same thing last year when he brought in Kaitlyn. Geno also brought in Evina, TN’s pg, who had 2 years left to play, when he had both Nika & Paige as freshmen, with Azzi committed for the following year.
Bringing in Evina or Heckel does not mean Geno is somehow disloyal to the players he has recruited out of HS. It simply means that he sees an opportunity to improve the team by bringing in a player who will “complement” the players he already has.
Geno loves pg’s. There were times this year when he went with his small lineup when he had 4 HS pg’s on the court with Sarah: Paige, Kaitlyn, KK & Ash. With Paige and Kaitlyn moving on, there is certainly room for Geno to integrate another pg as talented as Heckel into his rotation.
I can't call a player "generational" if she can't do enough in practice or during games to supplant Raven, Pao, or Breezy. No offense to any of those players, but they're closer to average than they are to being superstars (by contrast, Ta'Niya is a superstar). Generational players are supposed to make that choice difficult, but made it surprisingly easy. Either Dawn doesn't know what she's doing or isn't actually generational. We shall see, but I'm not doubting Dawn Michelle Staley.I like SC but you can't call me generational and play me 18 minutes a game for 2 years and then not clear the way for me my junior year. I just think is a hooper who loves to play. I get Paopao stayed an extra year and now Raven is as well so it's unforseen. But I don't disagree with the decision from a basketball point of view.
Paige aside from any stats is the ultimate package of intangibles, and the difference between her presence and absence is impossible to measure.I'll just say that if there is a deficit on the Uconn roster it is the leadership that is walking out the door in both Paige of course but also Chen. A rising sophomore with limited playtime isn't bringing that - she may be a great player, and you get potentially three years, but it does also jam up the progression for the current roster including incoming freshmen, and future HS recruiting, so is it worth it?
Talia or/and Skim gave her a tap on the back for breaking this....She's listed as a writer for the USA Today Network and does the beat for the Gamecocks. Doesn't look like she's sketchy like other Twitter/X personas like the 94ftWBB poster who puts out inaccurate information.
Ugh. I always feel like I need to take a shower after seeing all the “sausage making” of these NIL financials.Sam'ayah dad was not happy LSU isn't giving enough $$ so they left immediately after season ended, to me that was the only big loss for LSU. a lot will depend on whether Azzi finally is healthy enough to play to her full potential.....if she can then the one two punch with Sara may be the best in college basketballPaige aside from any stats is the ultimate package of intangibles, and the difference between her presence and absence is impossible to measure.
I have no doubt next year’s team can be great; it will just be a very different formula of greatness without Paige.

Somehow seems tame after witnessing the iso cam on her former coach’s bench behaviorThat Fulwiley abbreviation still bothers me a bit..
That being said, I see the abbreviation has been used quite a bit ... So let me join in on the fun and start using it as well.
Dudley from UCLA and another forward from Bucknell committed yesterday. Haven't read anything linking Heckel to Michigan. Honestly, I'm not sure if there's room for her there with Swords, Holloway, Olson and their freshman class coming in. Michigan needs more size from what I can recall of the roster.I keep seeing comments about Heckel and where she might fit. Didn’t she already commit to Michigan, or am I confusing her with someone else?
With two ACL tears is wild tooSupposedly, UVA is willing to pay that amount. That's like almost half their Alexis Ohanian money. Hope she's worth it.
I specifically said Im not saying she’s not a good player. But can the Heckel brigade please spell out what exactly they think she brings to the team that we don’t already have? Like what can she do that KK, or Kelis, or Azzi, or Morgan can’t do? And if they think it’s wise from a player management point of view and with regards to respecting our high school recruits to bring in a would be sophomore (who averaged 6.1 ppg on 17mpg, 46% fg, 28% 3fg, 1.9apg) for three years when you have a pair of freshman and junior point guards?I think you are wrong. Heckel is a pretty goods ball player. And yes she can take over Kaitlyn's role. She is an aggressive defensive baller. She is a tough kid.
