Don’t know but it’s likely a moot point now.Does he have UConn interest?

Just watched his highlight tape. He’d be an interesting chess piece on offense and a huge upgrade on defense. Would definitely start if AK is gone
Correct.Did some digging. It appears some players are transferring in the portal due to a pending court case challenging eligibility laws. So, yeah that is probably going to go nowhere.
Newton was #43, Mahaney #45, Cam #114.After the last couple seasons I refuse to pay attention to these transfer ranking lists. Where were Newton and Spencer? I don't think either were in the top 100. Aidan Mahaney was very highly ranked last year.
Walter Clayton Jr. was in the 40s or 60s after he left Iona.Newton was #43, Mahaney #45, Cam #114.
I do remember the athletic being relatively high on Newton and saying his ceiling was an nba player, but he wasn’t even on the radar of many rankingsNewton was that high? Which list?
247Sports.com rankings is what I remember. Looks like that is what you are referencing except for Mahaney.Newton was #43, Mahaney #45, Cam #114.
I didn't see Mahaney ranked on 247. CBS Sports had him at #45.247Sports.com rankings is what I remember. Looks like that is what you are referencing except for Mahaney.

Calcaterra and Alleyne not ranked. Surprised Alleyne wasn't ranked on this list.

College basketball transfer portal rankings 2024: Illinois star Coleman Hawkins commits to Kansas State
Here are the top 80 players who enterted the transfer portal during college basketball's 2024 offseasonwww.cbssports.com
Crazy 247 had cam at #114. ESPN had him #15Newton was #43, Mahaney #45, Cam #114.
Yeah, that's because they were defended by guards, not another power forward. You want a guy 6’11” to score off the dribble? Our guards couldn’t do that last year.
Your list is older so I'll go with my list.
In a parallel universe (certainly not this one) in which that Alex Karaban went pro (unlike our AK who is a member of the team until he says otherwise), I would bet the math might change and UConn might push harder assuming they hadn't already found a replacement.
Forget how to imbed but it’s says if Williams doesn’t stay in the draft then KU OSU NC St would be most involved
Yeah, I think because he entered the portal very late they just never bothered to rank him properly. There is no way a guy from the Big Ten who averaged 13 pts, 4 rbs, and 3 asts on 43% shooting from 3 would be ranked that low, ever.Crazy 247 had cam at #114. ESPN had him #15
Is it just me, or does anyone have a similar feeling: I treat high school prospect rankings with a lot of respect, but not transfer rankings.247Sports.com rankings is what I remember. Looks like that is what you are referencing except for Mahaney.

New car versus used car; unless the used car is a late model and spotless. Is it just me, or does anyone have a similar feeling: I treat high school prospect rankings with a lot of respect, but not transfer rankings.
I brought Papa Kante up earlier but no responses. Seems like a guy that could cover the first half minutes when both Reed and Reibe have 2 fouls. I have a feeling that will be 5-7 first half minutes in most games. Teams will go right at Reibe until he develops. We need that 3rd serviceable center for modest NIL and he seems like a worthwhile candidate to me from a physical standpoint, and has the connection to us from South Kent years.Has Papa Kante been mentioned anywhere? He's in the portal after an underwhelming frosh year at Pitt and was loved here by many at one time:

I really only look at the Athletic, because Moore and Vecenie are very good. Coincidentally, they had Newton and Cam much higher than the other sites.I don't even look at the portal rankings. Why would you with so much stat and film out there?
