2025 Season Ticket sales...

If people don’t show up, that’s a problem… the Rent really gets rocking when the team is good, imagine a big game against a power conference team and we have thousands of empty seats for those basketball buy ups? Bad look.
This is going to be a problem until/if Uconn gets into a P4 conference. We can go 10-2 this season and we still won't be coming close to selling out. Yes, people want to support a winning team and Mora is building that. However, they also want to see teams with name value. Right now, we have 4 teams with some name value coming to the rent within the next 3 seasons, Duke, Maryland, UNC, and Syracuse. The rest of the teams are ones that no causal fan knows or cares about. That's a problem that UConn can't do anything about except continuing to do whatever it can to get us out of Indy hell.

If the games mean something people will show up.
If UConn can make a little noise in the national conversation people will show up. It’s just a bit harder with this independent schedule.
Playing lower to mid P4 mixed with regional rivals like UMass and BC seems to be working for now.
At some point I agree, being in a conference is needed for this program to get to next level of fan interest.

I'm not sure people understand this. There are fans out there that are all in on UConn when they are in a meaningful league. Otherwise, they can't be bothered. These are that folks who filled The Rent when it was rocking. They'll come back when we get a seat at the table and not before.

Since Coach Mora was hired, UConn has participated in bowl games 2 of the past 3 seasons, winning the Wasabi Bowl. Husky Fans showed up in droves for the Fenway-Wasabi Bowl. There has been radio silence about the trickle down effect in regarding sales of season tickets. Hoping for sales in the 25-27,000 range. This program needs more fan support from the general public. I know that I'm preaching to the choir...
I love the optimism but 25k season ticket holders would imply an average attendance over 36,000 per game. Thats just not happening where this program is at right now.

I want e.mails…. Medic gets me.
Still nope.

From a purely economic consumer standpoint, there's no reason to get season tickets. Tickets are plentiful and cheap all season long, and you can pick which games you want to without over committing.

Personally, most of my UConn Football friends have started families recently and so its much harder for them to consistently get to the games when worrying about nap times, etc. Others have prioritized other things.

There's something to be said for supporting the program, I understand. But purely at an economic value, there isn't really any sense to it.

This is a fair point. I have season tickets to mens basketball (both venues) and football. From an economic perspective the basketball tickets make some sense because the secondary market ticket costs of the in demand games are generally much higher than the cost of the ticket in the season ticket package. In other words, I'm buying the nonconference cupcake game tickets so I can get the St Johns and Arizona games for the same price. Football tickets are, as you note, cheap and easy to find. Still, I feel better about myself when I but the football season tickets - the same feeling that I get when I donate to a worthy charity. So my unsolicited advice - if you want to support the football program and the entire athletic department, pull the trigger on a couple of inexpensive football season tickets. Then you can come on to the Boneyard and preface every post with, "As a season ticket holder, I was disappointed/thrilled to see ..."

Im a happy season ticket holder. I know i could go cheaper with buying the individually, but i like making the commitment to go every week. If i went game by game, I’m sure I’d find other things to do. It’s also great support for the team AND it’s also really nice sitting with the same folks all season. I dont know them well, but we enjoy being together season after season.

Did season ticket holders sell to Michigan fans in 2013? To help pay for theirs? Does anybody recall what happened for that game? I know we needed to supply 5k tickets to UM so the extra seating.

Me too....my 2 cents and just to share, is I have 2 seasons tix in the family value section (only $69 each + FIT fee for the season, a great deal for anyone) I've kept for years to give away to friends..... And switched my lower level sideline seats @ around the 40 yd line...to club seats last year....+ met a bunch of fans from down below who did the same thing and love it.....

The clubs are a great deal, considering it's not much more than I pay at Gampel alone for just my 2 hoop season tix....since the club benefits include an unlimited buffet and beverages, a Gold parking pass and a climate controlled experience on those extreme weather days ( like in Nov ) when I couldn't give my Uconn tix away over the lean years.
