I still think we might be around 7 wins. Coin flipper for Buffalo and Air Force. You could say the same thing about us last year when we lost by 50 to Maryland. Can’t judge a season based on one game.

I’m more shocked you think we’d lose to Delaware 😂

I got so hung up with my opinion on the Buffalo game I didn't see you sneak Delaware in there with the highly encoded UD designation.

That would be a nice problem to have. I still can’t believe that neither coordinator left after last year. It’s one of the reasons I am feeling good about this year.

I fear you're right about losing coaches, especially the OC and DC.

Sammis has me thinking he's a mild mannered Parcells but coming up from the O side.

Cuse - They are overrated goofs with terrible school colors. UCONN 21, Cuse 10. 2-0

Ball State - First home game of the season against a FBS team. 35,000 people watch the spectacle. UCONN 28, Ball St 10. 4-0

beautiful write-up. a bit hopeful for my taste, but first round's on me if this comes true.
 
I think the more immediate germane question is what will the margin be against Syracuse. It appears that we have a wide range of opinions here between the fanboys/fangirls and the analysts. Putting my analyst hat on I predict a loss by 21 pts. for UConn. Hope like heck I am wrong. If I was a gambler, I would lay the points hoping that I am educated once again why I am not a gambler.

I admit I am a fanboy; however, there is NO WAY we lose to Cuse by 21 points. None. I expect to win, but will not be surprised if we lose a close game. NO WAY we get blown out.

Let's all hope so. But i have trained it to see how things are rather how we would like them to be.
 
Will there be any BY'ers on the Long Island NOFO tomorrow? If so, propose a venue and we can meet. Legends in New Suffolk is a possibility but they turn the volume off. Founders Tavern in Southold might be a better choice.

Not backing off 10-2. The warts are well documented from yesterday, but it was an away game against a top team on our schedule. We came back for the tie in regulation, showed some poise and fight after coughing up the lead. All winnable games left on the schedule, will be favored in 7 or 8 out of 10, slight dogs in 2 or 3 unless we just play poorly this month. Talent and coaching is there and they looked organized if the results in some key spots weren’t there. Bad snap, busted coverage, a few drops, a few play calls. Clean in terms of penalties.

I'm now on board with 10-2.

BCU on the road is by far the toughest remaining test.

this is why i hate these prediction threads.
I didn't make a prediction here, but my heart was in the 7-5 ballpark because I knew nothing about our defense, this summer.

I assumed the "worst" about our defense and still thought that our offense could salvage poor defensive performances, hence the 7-win estimate. If 41 points is not enough to save a win, I am at a loss, honestly.

I tend to get eaten alive for my pessimistic (or as i prefer - grounded) takes that EVEN I hope age like milk. and then we end up here at 1-2 against not even the hardest part of our schedule.

suddenly my takes are not aging so badly.
