2025 MLB Playoffs Thread

I didn’t agree with pr for Bichette in the 18 inning game because it was too early and Springer came out of that game too. Top of the 9th tied game it wasn’t debatable putting the faster guy in top of the 9th in a tied game.

So your saying they shouldn’t have to increase the chances of winning in the 9th and waiting till their behind with Yammamoto on the mound. If Bichette wasnt hurt I would understand the argument.

Yeah you’re not making decisions in the 9th with the World Series winning run on 1st bases on what could maybe happen 2-3 innings later.

It’s not really debatable.

One team had their best players in the lineup in the most important games/moments of the series and the other team had them on the bench. It's not surprising which team won those games.
Dodgers stars weren’t injured, Freeman played hurt and missed some playoff games last year, if Freeman was on base as the winning run in 9th inning or later last year he’s getting pr for no question about it.

What's the point of inserting a horrible player into the game to pinch run if he's going to be so non aggressive he doesn't have a chance of scoring?

The 2 best Dodgers were subs or non-regulars haha. You’re trying too hard.

Bo couldn’t run, his limited running cost them a run earlier, but his bat is what kept him in. 9th inning, World Series winning run on 1st, you need to pinch run.

You’re just way off, but keep arguing if you must.

The Dodgers won an incredible game, the decision to pinch run Bo was 90th on the list of reasons they won. It was the right move.

I won’t be like you and say “lolz, you don’t know baseball” but …

Again, this is your issue - - with the result. The DECISION was correct.

I said at the time it was a mistake taking Bichette out of the game and they would regret not having his bat, just like I said they would regret not having Bichette and Barger's bats in game 3. I was correct both times.

I would've started Bichette and had him play the whole game.
And then been Grady Littled out of town for not pr for an injured Bichette, while needing to go into hiding being the next Steve Bartman and hoping the Toronto police would protect you and get you out of Toronto, instead of beating you up. Jays weren't hitting Yammamoto with Bichette either.

Canadiens fans are vicious when their teams lose, we see them flip cars when their hockey teams lose. Jays didn't lose on a single decision they lost because the Dodgers made the clutch plays.

Bichette didn't get a chance to hit Yamamoto and people are threatening Kiner-Falefa with physical violence.

Sadly there will always be loser fans like that, IKF will probably not be on a roster because he sucks. Jays manager would absolutely be getting death threats and probably lose his job, actually not probably definitely, if he didn't pr for Bichette.

Their fans are still pissed off at Schneider over game 3. They seem to think the team wins in spite of him.

Well that's stupid, fans are always gonna be critical of a coach/manager. Bottom line is the Dodgers made more clutch plays then the Jays did.

Can someone nicely (yes, I know this is the Boneyard) explain why the Jays player slid into home plate on a force play like that? He was only out by a fraction. Sliding is slower than running flat out and the catcher wasn’t going to tag him. I know ball players are taught to slide to avoid the tag, but, in this specific case, it seems running it out would have been better (I won’t even get into asking about all the players I watched slide into first base this year 🙄).
