2025 MLB Playoffs Thread

What a freak play having the ball wedged against the wall on Halloween night btw. Jays got far too impatient after that. It's like they ran into a trap set up by the Jigsaw, which in itself puts you into a mind trap. 2nd and 3rd with no outs pitchers are going to pitch around you have to take pitches at least take the 1st pitch.

We are back to the craziness after taking two games off for pedestrian/no drama baseball. Another classic finish. All set up by the ump blowing the strike three from Roki to Vlad. He had been calling that location about 4 inches lower all night. The stuck ball was an absolute gift, that at the time I didn't think was going to matter, but LA somehow took advantage of.

The Dodgers defense has really clutched up this postseason, but their bats have been abysmal and generally unprepaired. I imagine that they will start him, but Teo has been unplayable. If Pages showed any pulse this post season he's be in there.

I hope a lot of people check into game 7 to understand why baseball has the best post season. Shohei should start and maybe even add to the greatest ever debate.

MVPs are probably set unless Freddie hits another important one. Yoshi or Vlad, dependant on winner.

Probably not. As it was explained last night, if they use Shohei in relief and have to take him out of the game, they lose the Dan Hurley. Ohtani starts or doesn't pitch is most likely.
Ohtani will be starting pitcher according to ESPN vs Mad Max

Every pitch is so intense, Mad Max should not have a pitch count he’s built for this. Dodgers will have Glasnow and Yammamoto coming out of the pen.

For anyone who thinks baseball is boring, I hope you're watching this World Series. Stars and legendary players doing legendary things. Springer and Bichette can barely move and they're doing amazing things. Just an incredible World Series.

I agree but you’re preaching to the choir. Most in this thread are fully involved.

Bo found a way to offset injury by hitting HR.

Great catch in CF and Vlad flashing the leather.

Put up a big inning and got out of a big inning, runs will be hard to come by with Glasnow and Yammamoto who is a freak of nature.

Yamamoto is a freak especially compared to Ohtani. Ohtani doesn’t respond well to changes in routine such as short rest. He needed IV for being a designated hitter in 18 Innings. It’s not like he ran a marathon.

Yesavage has to come into this game and possibly finish it there’s a high likelihood Jays will have to win this 3-2.

If I was GM of a team certain to head to the postseason and I had one iffy OF spot, one of the first calls I would make at the deadline would be for Kike Hernandez. Basically a mediocre OF In the regular season who turns into an All Star in the postseason. He's done it for a decade now.
