2025-26 schedule - known games-UPDATED 8/1 (Not final schedule)

Disappointed the Tennessee game's not at Gampel. The first game of this 4-year series was also in Hartford.
 
Loyola is a head-scratcher. Massey had them 246th in its final ratings last year.

Okay, Sluconn, 'Debacle?' You're still fantasizing that Aaliyah's foul was not a foul?

Otherwise, to the rest of us, it was a matter that the Hawkeyes edged the Huskies in a really exciting Final Four game.

I suspect you and many of our fellow Huskies fans will be thrilled if '25-26 UConn takes it out on '25-26 Iowa. That's likely to be the case, but I doubt many on either team wil be thinking about April '24 when they meet this season... nor should anyone else.

I'm not fantasizing about anything. The officiating was abysmal in that game, mostly in Iowa's favor.

Not a murderer's row. I think Geno is going to be extra hard on the team to make sure they don't get complacent. And with the large roster, if anyone slips even a smidge they'll be riding the pine.
 
Last season, multiple people, players and coaches, remarked how the players "fell in love" with each other and with the "process" after the loss to TN. Hopefully there's enough returning players, especially Azzi, Sarah, KK, Ashlynn and Caroline, to keep that love feeling going and bring every new guy into the fold from Day 1 so that a loss is not the reason for creating another great Husky TEAM for the '25-'26 run.
 
It is disappointing that UConn will not face South Carolina, Texas, or UCLA in the regular season. Tennessee will be interesting.

Still, the home out of conference schedule is much better than last season, when USC was the only marquee home matchup.

The Florida State, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Tennessee games are all on a Sunday or a Monday Holiday, MLK Day. Those games will be guaranteed sellouts as the crowds really come out on those days, and it should also make it easier to get recruits to those Sunday/Holiday games.
 
Well at least I can get the out of conference games ready for this years Prognosticator's Predictions tally sheets and the game narratives for each game.

LOL.... I have to get used to the name,"Peoples Bank Arena".
I thought we were playing at Tennessee for the 2nd straight year.
The XL Center was my go-to name for UCONN home games.

My daughter played on a feeder team with the Loyola coach in junior high school. She is very ambitious and this is a way to get some national press.
