2025-26 New school commitments by Transfers

I don't think Mackie's better than Mia Pauldo (certainly lacks the upside factor) nor do I think she can play in the SEC, but I'll let the orange-clad ones celebrate a "victory".

She honestly would be a much better fit as a veteran PG option for a team like Duke.

EDIT: Mackie hasn't committed to Tennessee at this time, per Carleigh Wenzel's dad. Whether it's a delayed commitment or not one at all remains to be seen.

Carys Baker's replacement, perhaps?

Second Volunteer-turned-Hokie of the cycle.
I've always like Alyssa Latham: she was dynamite as a frosh at Syracuse. Hope the return to the ACC will be good for her.
Hurst apparently broke into the Volunteer (mass) rotation towards the end of the year and shot well from three (41%).
So yes, perhaps she can step into the long-distance void left by Baker and/or Wenzel. She's got three years and Duffy is solid at development.

And Madison St. Rose is either visiting or taking a visit.

From South Bend Washington HS (home of Skylar Diggins) to Purdue to Michigan State to Valley of the Sun...

Truly confused by this:

I don't know if that means we're picking up a new player from the portal, or we're keeping one of the players who entered it, or what.

I'm also just confused because why would anyone come to a place where 80% of the fan base is praying the AD announces the current coaching staff is out on Monday. (I, and many other alums/fans/season ticket holders, have written to the AD expressing deep concern about the state of the program and a need for urgent action to address it. He wrote back a stock email to all of us saying they were taking everything into consideration "as part of the year end review" and would have an update next week.

Does that sound like the kind of situation where we should be getting portal pickups?

ETA: Or maybe Cam is coming back to use that last year of COVID eligibility she left on the table? 😂

This is an interesting landing spot for her in my opinion. Thought she'd land somewhere in the SEC or ACC personally.

Wenzel didn't leave. Nelson did.

Very intrigued by this landing spot for Patterson.

I'm also intrigued ... though in my case, at least, I'm not initially loving it. I'm a huge fan of Ayanna and not at all a fan of Kenny Brooks. I was hoping she would land at a school where she'd have a clear path to playing time and a coaching staff that would help develop her arsenal and rebuild her confidence post-injuries (e.g., maybe Kristy Curry at USF, Carla at Northwestern if she wanted to be closer to home, Lisa Fortier at Gonzaga, Coach Jack at Syracuse). It doesn't feel to me like this is the best fit for that—but what do I know? At the end of the day, I wish nothing but the best for Yanna. I hope she finds great success and happiness at Kentucky.

Interesting as I think playing for a coach like Brooks could be good for her. Teonni Key has thrived since transferring from UNC. I could see her having a similar role as Soule did at VT while working on expanding her game.

Yeah, I actually really like it as well. I know they have a good freshman coming in but hopefully they get some good guard play. But I think she fits next to Clara strack well and Brooks does give his players a little freedom to play their game.

How many roster spots was TCU trying to fill? @triaddukefan better start designing their Transfer Portal National Championship banner, it's gonna be hard for anybody to catch up to them at this point.
