Seems like a great precedent (although this isn't new, it's happened before quite a while ago). Get in trouble, leave school, go somewhere else and get to play immediately with no consequences. Will serve these student athletes well as they move toward adulthood...

Awou has a high ceiling IMO but never could get it going at State. She was suspended from the team, no official reasoning but now is officially off the team. Hope she can use her time in Raleigh as a learning experience and finds a home somewhere and is able to reach her potential.

Hmm. I wonder how this goes when a player decides to withdraw from the transfer portal before you can actually enter it??? 😳
Or maybe players can actually notify their school before the 6th but the school can't notify the NCAA before the correct date???? Hmm.

With the exception of grad transfers and coaching change situations, It seems like players and/or agents are making announcements of the intent to enter the portal, however neither side can do anything until the 6th. I'll bet there's some dialogue going on between players and schools to see if they will stay. A lot can happen between now and then.
