2025-06 Duke

I don’t know about Kara starting 2 freshman guards in her backcourt. ( referring to Skinner as a freshman since she took the redshirt). I think Kara will try and find a veteran shooting guard/combo guard in the portal if she can.

Agreed.

Well I know the perfect player in that case. Since there are a bunch of lurkers from greedy expletive-deleted fan bases around here, I won't share it publicly.

Hey man, why you gotta be like that?
What?! I was being serious... one might even say, generous! Good player, smart young woman, mature leadership; coming from Carla, I feel like she'd be prepared for Kara's high expectations. Look what Kaitlyn Chen gave us last year.

I was trying to keep it to myself.😖

Well since you already read my mind, what am I having for dinner? 🙃🙃🙃

If you have ten minutes to spare. Take a look at the YouTube production. Top Notch

Oh, my bad. Luckily, no one else saw. As for dinner: given it's you, I'm going to predict a BBQ platter washed down with some Cheerwine.

Well I was rushed for time, so McDonald's it was. And if you go to McDonald's the only drink choice is HI-C orange. Plus I gave up Cheerwine for Lent.

Haven't had a BBQ platter in a while, but if I remember, it will be next Saturdays lunch.

Sweet 16 vs. LSU: lost by 16 in regular season....tournament result TBD
Elite 8 vs. UCLA: lost by 30 in regular season

Duke is a much better team than LSU now. They’ll get beat down in the elite 8 tho

Hey @triaddukefan - I picked Duke in the ESPN tournament challenge eliminator. Can't pick them again, so shouting out a thanks!

Any good pastry shops down in Florida. You can thank the team by sending a box of danishes and donuts... Send them to me ..and I will forward them to Durham.

I was actually listening to the Duke radio call instead of the ESPN announcers

That was quite an ending. Yet another nailbiter in an evening of nailbiters.

I am missing something.

Three seconds left down by one you draw up a play for three.

Don't get me wrong — I can imagine a coach thinking that the only thing necessary is a 2 but the opposing coach knows this, so set up something that looks like you are going to dump it inside for a basket or a foul, and have somebody leak out for potential wide open three. But it wasn't remotely an open three.

What's more, Jackson caught the ball with 1 foot on the three point arc which is a problem if you absolutely need a three but all you need is two, and she made a point of resetting to make sure she was beyond the arc. Is it is simple is this is what was drawn up and she played it exactly as drawn up?

During the post game interview on the court, Jackson was asked that question. It seemed to me, based on her reaction, the play didn't exactly happen as expected. There was a smirk and pause. Had me chuckling.
