2024 Coaching Carousel gets an early start…

What a colossal mistake it would be. I don’t hate Sanders and he has been putting in his dues. There is not enough room in Texas to fit Sanders self promoting ego with Jones’ ego and player egos. It will be a crap show. Maybe that’s the point. If you can’t win entertain and distract.

Read somewhere that Sanders asked for more NIL recently from CU and supposedly they have balked at the request. Saw a tweet in the article but can't seem where I saw it or how reputable the site was. If so, CU is not helping keeping Deon.

This popped up in my browser.

Bellichek hires Bob Diaco to be Linebackers Coach at UNC. My Tarheels buddies are justifying the hire as “Just because he sucked as a head coach he probably will be great as a linebackers coach”. The position he played at ND.

He may very well be a good coach. I always liked the way our D played under him. Some guys are just not cut out to be the HC.

I really wonder if Diaco is the best person for this job? I'd love to see UConn beat UNC in a future football game where Diaco is a coach for UNC.

I did not see this coming. I wonder how long before Bill bans Bob from talking to the media, Diaco press conferences are the opposite of Belichick-ian.

Maybe that's why they want Diaco. It's college football and they worry Belichick will bore everyone to death.

Diaco was a disaster here, but he still is very good defensive coach. I'm over his tenure and want nothing but success for him. I think this is a break he needs to get back on track to be a HC again.

Yah, head coach of a high school team. Jezz

Diaco was a disaster here …
…and Nebraska and Purdue, and only landed an analyst role, not an actual coaching position, with LSU after being jettisoned with most of LA Tech’s staff.

Belichick must see positives, bought Disco’s BS, or some hybrid.

I have nothing against Diaco either. I have moved on from that dark period. But there are many good coordinators out there who were never meant to be or succeeded as Head Coaches. Much different skillset.
