Another loss in a big game for PSU. Can't beat OSU....Gotta wonder how much longer PSU is gonna stay with Franklin. It's crazy to even think about that being an option after the success he's had but at that level, you can't win the big ones year after year, you aren't sticking around.

Not defending Franklin, but who can they get to replace him that keeps them as a top 10 team that takes them to the next level right away? I doubt we'll see a Cignetti out there or Elko.

I have no clue but do you think that would stop them?? There's no way that fanbase and those supporters can be ok with him losing the games that matter most year after year. At what point do they decide it's not working. I don't know who that person is but I wouldn't be shocked to see him on the very hot seat

Mike Elko would be a good fit for Penn St. From NJ and went to college at Penn and he is 47 years old. Wife is from NJ and went to Penn as well. Coached at Stony Brook, Penn, Merchant Marine, Fordham, and Hofstra. Turned around Duke and he has Texas A&M performing well. Would he leave Texas A&M?

I doubt PSU wants to deal with the contract the Elko would undoubtedly demand. TAMU already looks 10000x better than anything Jimbo was able to do.

Never underestimate the amount of money B1G schools roll in. Then again, TAMU rolls in money in the SEC....

old Oil Money
Yup, Texas T, black gold, sh|tloads more and equal to higher quality than in the Quaker state.

A&M property oil wells, ranches, etc, plus sh|t loads of same owned by alumni and other A&M fans. Dinero, no issue.

You think they'd poach Cignetti? Or bring back O'Brien?

Maybe because A&M got its head handed to it by South Carolina. And won’t be going to the playoffs. And it’s in College Station Texas.

USCe is a really solid team this year. They got robbed by refs in LSU game and could’ve won bama game. Don’t get fooled by records

All may be true, but none of that helps Texas A&M. And it’s still in College Station

What’s the opposite of a hot seat? Your phone blowing up with suitors?

1) Cignetti. Indians isn’t a tier 1 job but they have BiG money now. Some tier 1 schools that might be looking for a coach — USC, Florida, PennSt, OhioSt, LSU.

2) Lashlee. From G5 to possible CFP appearance. Above teams plus Ole Miss (if Kiffin gets a better job), Auburn, Oklahoma.

3) Army. At 10+ years he’s probably an academy lifer.

4) Mora? Definitely has turned things around. Could have appeal not at tier 1, but mid/lower p4.

Who else?

dang i honestly have never thought of Mora leaving, given his age and stage of life when we got him. I thought i heard of this being his last HC gig.

Something tells me that for someone like JM, the P4 gig is not worth the stress of winning now. Been there, done that. UConn was always a no pressure/no risk situation. If you suck, you're no worse than you were. if you do well you're a hero. He's on his way to hero. I don't see him leaving
