Sigh.

I'm not a Dr., but I knew when I saw it happen. There's just certain types of injuries, they always turn out to be ACLs. Sad news.

So many ACL injuries. Makes me wonder if the court surface and shoes are too "sticky."
There have been many discussions in previous threads that talk about the issue. There's more to ACL injuries than the court and shoes (physiology, genetics of athletes, movement mechanics, etc.). To focus on those factors alone is superficial.

Tuned into the Michigan-Eastern Michigan game replay to watch ex-Duck Grace Van Slooten. But she was held out. Any info on this from Spartan fans (or anybody)?

Thought I saw somewhere on social media she was held out due to illness, but not 100% sure.

Some good news: Liatu King, who was clunked in the head during the James Madison game (and missed the Lafayette match) looks like she'll be back in time for the USC match. Very important for ND to play against USC's taller guards and wings.

Dang. That's unfortunate. Wishing her a speedy recovery, especially considering this is back related.
I don't think she's played all season. To be frank with you, there were so many guards on that roster, I had no idea how minutes were going to be found. Unfortunately, it will be virtually a new team next year.

As for the back, all the best....my mother had long-term back issues and you never knew when you came home if she'd on the floor doing stretching exercises..

Makes sense if you ask me. The timeline for her to return to play this season didn't make sense based on when she got injured.
That makes two top-notch transfer guards this week, along with Maddie Scherr.
What is it? Less than one-quarter of the games played?

Not following you. With Leger-Walker, she suffered her injury late last season. The likelihood of her being back for this season was really low. It's kind of similar to Miles' situation last year except UCLA and Leger-Walker decided to make it official.

It's my understanding Scheer hasn't played this season. Maybe the original prognosis for her was more positive than the reality?

Too bad. The player, who formerly went by MacKenzie while at Marquette, was seemingly just getting into the flow with Iowa State. Emma Risch lost her (regular) freshman year at Notre Dame to a hip injury.
Hope Ms. Hare can recover in whatever time necessary and come back strong next season.
