Great snag...ideally he rotates in this year, gets some exp, maybe gives Mitchell a rest on ST (he played a TON of snaps last year) & then can step in to start next year.

It can be a transient position. I remember the WR who transferred to UConn from Clemson who played every game as a freshman. Lost his spot to another freshman the following year. I don’t think he ever played at UConn or if he did then made little impact.

I think he was a graduate transfer. I could be wrong, but I think he never showed up at Uconn. Instead he went to another school at the last minute and quit the program before the season started because he lost interest in college football.
