Look at their road schedule next year: @Hawaii, @LSU, @Penn St., @Rutgers, @Nebraska, @Washington. That is an insane amount of travel! Is it really that attractive of a job?

I think he was a modestly successful head coach and he had topped out with no clear path to becoming a head coach at a bigger program. So, you might as well take a P2 assistant job.
