Great team effort. Padilla great pick for the force at second. Smith only decided to go for the DP late and the throw wasn’t close, but the runner tried to score from second and Huber stayed alert, threw a strike to Donlan who made the tag. Out of the inning — 11-4 after 4.

Gallagher has thrown 68 pitches, I suspect Gallagher will stay in for at least a couple more innings unless Stanford puts up a crooked number on him again. I expect Gallagher and Peterson to go about 100 pitches in their starts unless they really get bombed.

If Gallagher sits too long he may not be able to loosen up for the bottom of the this sixth considering how far into the game we are.
