QU with 12 shutouts this year and 9 by that stonewall they call their goalie. Incredible.

UConn played just about a perfect game. Tough outcome but a hell of an effort.

Great game until I took a puck off the chin with about 10 minutes left in the 2nd period, still no score.

2 rows off the glass, center ice and I take a puck to the face!

11 stitches and a pretty cool story.

The huge swing was our 2 on 1 in the third period where the QU defenseman goes to the ice and breaks up the pass. Then a few minutes later they have a clumsy two on two where our two defenders just couldn’t make a play to get control of the puck and they knock in the rebound over Hanson.
Hell of an effort, if QU is really a top 5 team in the country, SHU and UConn both played damn well and should be proud.
Now carry that effort into our home game Friday against Providence and we should get a win

Seriously, like most everyone, I love this tournament. I think it’s a smart way to promote Connecticut hockey and great for UConn.
