The team really responded to Spanos's energy and Mitchell pretty much credits his success to him. I have a very good feeling the defense is going to be very good this year. I mean look at last year, they were able to play with every single team they played including Clemson. Problem was they got gassed because the offense was so stagnant. If the offense moves the ball and chews up some clock, defense is keeping us in games the majority of the season.

Look at the first half of every game. The defense was keeping up with all those teams until they started to get gassed because the offense would go 3 and out on every drive. The defense is going to be a lot better this year and it's going to be because Edsall's stooge Guifre won't be calling the plays and Edsall's clock management bs mindset won't hold the team back.

Just looked at the first half of the games mentioned. Defensively UConn got massacred. First half Fresno - 31 points, HC - 24 points, Purdue - 34 points. The defense just couldn't stop them, has nothing to do with being tired.
