Well message should be loud and clear to Penders. Pitching depth is no where good enough. That and defense which are typically strong are sorely lacking

In college ball you really need 4 good starters to go anywhere in the post season. UConn has been making a bunch of mistakes today, but the starting pitching just hasn't been there the last couple of days.

Gallagher has been up and down through the season, but at the same time he had been showing improvement as the season progressed. So much for the progress today. I expect that he will be back next season, but as with many young pitchers, needs to improve on his control and consistency.
