Is that an answer my question?
Yes...

Randy has a long history of being one of the first to offer guys and people often respond we aren't aiming high enough in our recruiting because the guy has no offers.

That said, I don't think there is much difference between being 1st, 5th or 12th. A few kids will note on signing day they stuck with the school that was among the first to offer while the vast majority sign for the school that best fits them based on some combination of geography, staff, scheme and again - opportunity. Edit update: education match is a factor of course too; some kids want certain majors and/or a certain level of academic rigor or lack thereof. The first mover advantage is pretty limited overall. And there is a real risk of being a first mover; you can easily recruit a kid you no longer need (because you recruited over him) in the many months ahead. For UConn most of our best players in the coming 2021 recruiting class will be kids that have big senior seasons...Kids that are not very high on the prospect lists just yet.

Just wonder why everyone we offer already has 10 or more offers. Shouldn't we be getting involved earlier.

I’m too lazy today to go back to the beginning and count but just in the last two weeks - I see 2 were we are the player’s first offer and 2 where we are in their first 5 offers (there are more).

You also have to look @ the level of the offers (FCS vs G5 vs P5) and progression (my lists are alphabetical).

Medic, not sure you track the level of offers received by the players to whom we extend offers, but it seems there's more players on this list with a significant number of P5 offers as well as some from the better G5 schools than in the last few years.
Any thoughts on that or am I just not recalling the level of offers players we're interested in received in prior years?

Seems we have expanded the number of areas in which we recruit from the previous staff. Georgia S.Carolina Texas CA. Hope it continues as an Indie.
