2021-2022 UConn Men’s Hockey

Pretty cool to have three ranked programs at the same time: men’s basketball, women’s basketball and men’s hockey, with women’s basketball is just outside of being ranked.
 
Six games left. Assume we need to split with Northeastern and UMass and sweep Vermont.

Can someone explain why PC and Northeastern are ranked ahead of UConn? Even BU is iffy. Is it just name recognition among the voters?
 
OK, hockey fans. Trivia time: In the 50's I grew up in greater New Haven (Branford). Where was The Five Satins', "In the Still of the Night" recorded?

Way before my time and unclear how The Five Satins are related to hockey, but I'll go with either Hamden or New Haven. New Haven Arena? Recently, I read the lead singer, Hamden-native Fred Parris, passed on in January.
 
Not related to hockey. The basement of St. Bernadette's Church in New Haven.

presumably, women's hockey at #11 was intended. don't forget women's lax #23.

I didn’t realize woman‘s hockey was ranked. I thought I checked it and it was sitting just outside the rankings. And I don’t follow lacrosse at all.

But that just makes it all the cooler doesn’t it? Five ranked programs at the same time? That’s just amazing!

There are only 41 teams in Women’s NCAA D1 hockey, so they only do a top ten. They are ranked 11th out of those 41 however. Their Pairwise rank is also 11.
