So what are we looking at for QB in this cycle? Well, I see John Dunn has started by aiming high and looking at tall pro-style QBs.

He recently started following Davis Beville, 6'6'' Pro Style QB from Greenville SC. Beville has offers so far from Cincy, Pitt, WKU, Toledo, App St, Dartmouth and Princeton and has interest from Clemson, Duke and VT.
For a 6'6'' QB he has some mobility.

Another recent follow (Corey E is also following) is Paul Piferi, a 6'5'' pro style QB in Villa Park CA (Orange County). Piferi has offers from Washington St, Oregon St, Cincy, Nevada, Rice, Yale, Dartmouth, Princeton, Harvard, Penn, Fordham. He also has taken visits to UCLA (Chip Kelly), Stanford and Purdue.

Philly football recruiting roundup: Tykee Smith plans to trim list, area freshmen pick up major offers and much more

Imhotep Charter safety Tykee Smith, one of the top prospects in the city in the Class of 2019, announced he’ll trim his lengthy offer list to six by the end of the month. In the 247Sports composite rankings, Smith is a three-star recruit, the No. 6 player in Pennsylvania, the No. 32 safety nationally and No. 426 overall prospect in the class.

Smith will be trimming his offer list from a group that includes: Old Dominion, N.C. State, UConn, Minnesota, UMass, Indiana, Virginia, Boston College, Kansas, Duke, Buffalo, Baylor, Pitt, North Carolina, Michigan State, Maryland, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Rutgers, Morgan State, Syracuse, West Virginia, Temple.

For perspective we had 88 offers out at this time last year with two commits; Harris and K. Jones. Of the 88 offers, 64 of the kids had not yet committed. We had more slots to fill last year and I guess it shows when comparing year over year.

I haven’t followed up to look at all the recent offers, but I have noticed we have good follow back action going on with Jerrod Means. Jerrod tracks the ball well in the air, catches with his hands. Has good reach at 6’3’’ and some straight line speed.
