2019/20 UConn Recruiting

1/6

Aliyah Boston's Worcester squad returned from a three-week break.

Boston put up 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 blocks

2019 Haley Jones' line Saturday:

11 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks

Azzi Fudd highlights from her performance against Paul VI last week (1/3):

I love her jump shot. She is maybe the best freshman I've seen since Maya.

Owusu is big and strong for a PG. Brenda got a good player in her.

I'm totally sold. I think Geno is too. But I do have one question: If Diana couldn't wear #1, will Geno let Paige wear #1?

No! Gabby Williams also wore number 1 in high school, but has since changed her number.

2019 Aubrey Griffin scored 30 points and surpassed the 1,000 point mark today in just 40 career high school games.

Between Chong, Griffin, and current UConn freshman Andra Espinoza-Hunter, Ricci has coached three of the best players the section has ever seen. Given that all three have played for the Pride within the last six years, Ricci was able to quickly tell how Griffin stacks up among the triumvirate of basketball stars.

“Saniya was the best basketball player, Andra had the best work ethic, and Aubrey has the best athletic ability,” he said. “By far.”

Does best athletic ability translate to higher ceiling? If so then we know a coach that can introduce her to her ceiling! Let's get her!

I got to Duke (for graduate school) about 1-2 years before Mike K.. Those were some of his early recruits and I even got to play some pickup with them. Best athlete I ever played BB with was Lawrence Taylor. Incredible speed and agility for his size. Both Coach K and I are getting on in years.
Thank you for the heads up on this Guard from Minnesota. I just clicked over and researched her background. Geno visited her High School several times and said at this point in her development she's ahead of Diana Taurasi.

Thanks to Mudcat for posting about Paige Buecker from Minnesota. I replied to her heads up. In researching her recruiting I found that Geno said at this stage of her development she's ahead of Diana Taurasi. If this is the case then I have to agree with Mudcat this is the recruit we want. Her coach said she's the most unselfish player he's ever coached.

I suggest you take a look at previous pages of the UConn recruiting threads and you will see many video clips and read thoughts on all of the current possible recruits
