Below is the full list of Redshirt Juniors. For Seniors and RS Seniors we have 20 kids leaving including Levenberry. Of the scholarship kids below, looks like we have just Watkins, Oak and Thompson leaving (Westmark is not on scholarship, right?).

On the flip side, I guess this confirms we will have Atkins, Britton, Crozier and Lawley next year. To free up room for a full 25 kids, we need two underclassman to exit and if we want to bring in some kids after spring practice, we'll need a few more then too.

Redshirt Juniors
96 James Atkins 6-5/266 Defensive Line RS JR Saugus, Mass. Blair Academy (N.J.)
38 Jeff Woodcock 6-0/222 Linebacker RS JR Middletown, Conn. Middletown HS
33 Chris Britton 6-1/225 Linebacker RS JR Harrisburg, PA. Harrisburg
18 Brad Westmark 6-0/193 Quarterback RS JR Brookfield, Conn. Brookfield
29 Anthony Watkins 5-10/197 Defensive Back RS JR Fort Meade, Md. Lawrenceville (N.J.)
50 Sheriden Lawley 6-4/290 Defensive Line RS JR Abbotsford, B.C. W.J. Mouat Secondary
63 Ryan Crozier 6-4/300 Offensive Line RS JR Plantation, Fla. St. Thomas Aquinas
48 Jason Thompson 5-7/182 Running Back RS JR Shelton, Conn. Shelton
75 Daniel Oak 6-3/285 Offensive Line RS JR Fort Myers, Fla. Fort Myers

with the lack for playing time for some of the underclassmen, (frosh and sophs), I can definitely see the attrition coming... kids were leapfrogged by true frosh may not be too happy with that and will probably move on so they can play... can't blame them..

I wouldn't be surprised if we see nearly 30 new faces come next fall...

Refresh of my 10/15 post. Bold = uncommitted prospect. Yes, I continue to take a stab at position placement which probably a fools errand.

I'm aiming for 27 kids, 25 for this cycle with Eli Thomas and Jan enrollee Nyadu counting towards 2017.

Based on yesterday's senior class announcements, it appears we have space for 23 kids next year w/o any early departures. I am sure there will be some departures, but maybe not in time to allow us to sign a full 25 + 2 this Dec/Jan.

If we are limited to just three more this cycle w/o grayshirting - then I think the priority for the staff is two DL and one RB. If we get a kid with plus level talent at any position to commit, then someone its going to draw a short straw for deferred enrollment.

QB - 1 - Krajewski
RB - 2 - Gillespie, one of the Georgia RBs per TOS (we are looking at 6 or 7 GA RBs, two or three more seriously than the others.)
OL - 5 - Rooney, Maloney, Nyadu, Niedrowski, Jefferson or Beebe (for center position) if we can free up another space in this class. Otherwise I think Nyadu or Niedrowski move to C. The visit by Reiser adds to intrigue that they are not done with this position.
WR - 3 - Jeffreys, Robinson, Maurisseasu-ONeil,
TE - 2 - Bemiy (looking at his early 2018 tape, still looks like an offensive player to me, playing RB and TE this year) plus one of Brayden Willis or Corey Thomas (former WV commit now at ASA Juco in Brooklyn)
DL - 5 - Pace, T. Jones (or place him on OL), three of Daley/Mimes/Uguak or TBD Juco. Is the staff still interested in McCracken? who knows.
LB - 4 - K. Jones, Harris, Webb, E. Thomas (Juco - already on campus)
DB - 5 - Banks, Morrison, Carroll, Lazarus, + tbd DB (with Lucian and Devon Matthews visiting, seems we might add one more here)
total = 27

Two tactics the staff could take is to PWO or Blueshirt Ragaini and to take Corey Thomas in the spring. Both tactics help with managing the 25 slot limit and gives the staff more time to push out more kids to free up scholarships. I could see them scooping up a DL, RB or TE this way as well - in the spring.

Some questions for you @Exit 4

1) How did you come up with the 3 left? If we have 19 commits but one is coming in early, that would leave us at 18 for now. Given we can take on 23 (?) as you said as of right now to equal 85, shouldn't we have room for 5?

2) Do we know for sure that these guys, WR - 3 - Jeffreys, Robinson, Maurisseasu-ONeil, are all coming in at WR. That seemed to be the indication early on when they committed but I just don't see why we would have so many scholarships allocated to WR next year unless guys plan on leaving. Those 3 plus the 12 (Skanes, Buss, Dixon, Mayala, Beals, Davis, McLean, Harrison, Scott, Williams, Burnett, Coney) Not to mention Donaldson, who could probably be up for a scholly given how well he has performed would put us at 16 wide receivers. That seems like 3-5 too many. Robinson definitely looks like a WR, and Jeffreys as a QB is hard to depict at anything else but was thinking M-Oniel would get moved.

3) Do we know if Harris will definitely be up here next Fall? Or would he be Spring '19 enroll out of Lackawanna.

4) Who are the main Georgia RB targets we are looking at?

Thanks in advance for the intel.

#1 - I need to revisit the scholarship chart tonight - I could be off. Its a difficult to be perfectly accurate however since the status of people like Donaldson is not always clear.
#2 - There was a report at the time Jeffreys committed in which he said he was coming as a WR and not as a QB. Robinson could go DB, but my hunch is that we opt to utilize his 6'3'' height as a WR. I suppose anything is possible for Maurisseasu - but again, my guess is WR. I think at least two of the existing WR contingent exit the program this spring. I wont name names.
#3 - Anything is possible, but he stays for year two, then he only gets two years here. What a shame if that were to be.
#4 - I'll PM you went I get a moment.

as BizLaw and I have noted in past years ... don't go by the Scholarship Chart - especially with Randy Edsall.

That next class will clearly be 25 ... and maybe a handful more. Will he bring some in for January or Greyshirt? He might. But ... he has always always gone a step beyond where you think he might. And, Terry Richardson is the WILD CARD. Repeatedly, TR comes in with a 4-7 kids in the last weeks of January with Florida zip codes. And, often they are disgruntled P5 kinda kids or just incredible athletes that fall through somehow (Darius Butler,
Cody Brown, Jasper Howard).

And I do think you are wrong Exit 4 on Francis Bemiy. And you have made that a weekly drumbeat. I bet he is Defense and he plays because of shear athleticism.

I look at Francis tape and see a kid who doesn't aggressively tackle. He doesn't look like a natural defender. On the flip side, watch Devon Matthews for a natural defensive player ready to make plays in open space. However, Bemiy is tall and fluid when running with the ball; and we don't have a TE yet ( albeit TEs are not big in the Lashlee offense). So for those reasons, I have him as a TE. That said, I have been beating this drum to see if others in the know pipe up with real insight on his recruiting and what the staff has told him.

Yes sorry I misspoke there. He is WR. I knew he wasn't coming for QB but meant to say I can't see him at anything other than WR.

Not much out there on Butler. Appleberry is a WKU commit and had a boodle of offers but nothing public from UConn that I can see anywhere. (I saw the name mentioned on TOS).

What leads to you think they may have offers.

Okay, so I have watched the video on three of the seven GA RBs TOS said we are interested in and so far, the level of play is far and away above what we have going on here in the northeast. Those boys are big and fast.

I saw the followers for Appleberry. Haven’t found a Twitter for Butler - did you?
I did... his account is total different than his name... Name escapes me now... I don't hold on to the stuff.. I also found that there are so many kids that our coaches are on on there that kinda check out profiles where several prominent coaches are on the kid's follow list... I do know Richard Butler has some sort of interest from us with his follows... still searching again for his account.

Roger... Twitter can be such a red herring sometimes but it’s kinda what makes watching recruiting and trying to put pieces together fun (and torturous).
