The attendance at Schneider has gone up in recent years since Nate Leaman and then the National Championship 3 years ago.
PC competes locally with the Providence Bruins who have been a top AHL draw for 25 years.
PC had many years where they had mediocre teams and only games against UNH and BC would sell out. Recently they have had more sellouts per year. Most students move back to Mass. Or the Tri - State area after graduation, which doesn't help.
I am surprised that there weren't more PC fans at Bridgeport.

You guys need to represent your players a lot better, especially with a regional final being close-by against a team from halfway across the country. PC's fan showing did bother them. Freaking PC band didn't even do much cheering during the game. It was kinda sad.

UMD won the title, beating Notre Dame, 2-1. Last Big Ten school to win a championship was Michigan State in 2007, as a member of the CCHA.

That was a fun 3 games. Clarkson's showing was too small for a school that was getting into the NCAA postseason tournament for the first time in 10 years.
Don't think you quite understand. The Clarkson alumni base is quite used to going to the NCAA despite the recent drought. They usually are very well represented indeed. You can almost always hear their Lets Go Tech chants.

But this year's team went 18-3-1 (including two wins over PC) through January 13 -- and then 5-7-5 after. Everyone at Clarkson knew what was gonna happen so why spend the $70 for tickets and the expense of getting down there? The alumni association made a very low key effort as well. And I think the students were off. All that combined with the women's national championship the weekend before combined to produce a low turnout.
