Nothing too crazy so far. In today's action, Oklahoma hung a 20-spot on Mississippi State, UCLA rallied in the 9th to foil Gonzaga's upset bid, and Army is currently up 4-0 (!) on regional host NC State.

As for teams in our conference: USF got smoked by Oklahoma State, Houston is up on Purdue, and ECU is putting away UNC Wilmington.

UW v CC turning into a hitters dual. 6-4 UW in the third. Hopefully both bullpens get exhausted today.

USF takes a 6-4 lead over Hartford, T11. USF still hitting with 2 on and 1 out.

USF up 9-4 now, after a 3 run HR. Still batting T11.

I'm sorry, but doesn't Washington seem just a tad bit better than their seed?

I think Washington had a RPI of 63 or so before the tournament started. How high a seed is a team with that type of RPI going to rate? They were probably a tough team to slot.

Didn't know their RPI was that high. According to their schedule they took 2 out of 3 against Stanford in the Pac 12 Tourney and Stanford had to rally to win the one.

They are playing well last part of the season... tuff team.

After beating UConn, Washington is now 11-7 against RPI top 50 teams. They are 11-11 against teams with an RPI of 51 though 150.

So does the winner of Washington/Coastal get tomorrow off? And if we beat the loser tomorrow, we need to win twice on Monday? Seems the loser today will have worked their bullpen pretty good in this one.

UConn plays the loser of this game at noon tomorrow. The winner of the losers bracket game plays the winner of that game at 6pm tomorrow. If the losers bracket team wins, another game is played on Monday. It is a double elimination tournament for this regional, so when you lose two games, you go home.

Thanks.

Houston UNC about to start. Crushed Purdue to move to the winner's bracket. Game was delayed a bit.

Looks like 9pm for ECU vs USC East.

Barring weather winner of tonight's game plays the winner of the loser bracket game right after the losers bracket game tomorrow afternoon.

And of course just as a I think maybe the bullpens get a little too overworked in this slug fest, Washington gets through the 7th throwing 4 pitches.
