How is it that we are getting all these recruits to commit yet still ranked dead last in the AAC in recruiting?

247 rankings are totally inaccurate and should be ignored. Rivals rankings show us @ #10 in the AAC (#77 nationally)

Is the Cincy commit Malik Vann a brother of Marquise Vann? he was from Ohio IIRC

yes he is

UC just offered Fairfield 2018 linebacker/defensive lineman Malik Vann, according to Fairfield coach Jason Krause. It is the first reported offer for Vann, who is 6 feet 3 and 245 pounds. Vann is also the area's first player in the 2018 class to receive a scholarship offer.

Vann is the younger brother of former Fairfield standout Marquise Vann, who is now at UConn.

After multiple daily emails over the past weeks regarding UConn's Recruiting page/info being crap - 247 has updated their site and UConn is now #52 nationally. There is still data disconnects btwn pages/sites but better than it was...

 Is Travis Jones really listed as a 5*??? Or, do you think it's a mistake? If not that would be our first 5* recruit ever.

It's a mistake - he's listed as 3* in another 247 profile. They are still having accuracy/compatibilty issues w/ some of their linked pages. They recently merged databases w/ Scout and they still have bugs to work out.

He's a 5*!

2018 AAC Football Team Rankings
From the above link to the 247 composite team rankings:

As of now, UConn sits 3rd in the AAC- ahead of Houston even though UH has 6 more commits than we do listed. I don't know how that ranking will change when they inevitably change Travis Jones from the 5* he's listed at to a 3* but this is just an incredible effort by our staff so far. They also haven't added in Eli Thomas from last night yet and we still are waiting for another commit to announce publicly.

Most commitments: Navy (30) --> USF (24)
Least commitments: Tulane (7)

1. Cincinnati (16)
2. USF (24)
3. UConn (14)
4. Houston (20)
5. UCF (14)
6. SMU (18)
7. ECU (18)
8. Temple (16)
9. Navy (30)
10. Memphis (14)
11. Tulane (7)
12. Tulsa (8)

If we want to change our situation it starts by beating up on Temple. Navy is Navy, the Florida schools will have their runs. We have to make Temple and ECU clear a clear step down from us and at this point, that is not the case.

Cincinnati adds another transfer- this time PSU Corner TJ Johnson

Actually, I'm surprised a little more of that hasn't happened.. especially with us with the coaching change (due to bad football coaching) I remember when Coach P took over, during the first Fall camp, several kids (scholly kids) transferred out to lower level schools in the middle of camp... A little surprised that didn't happen this time around....Thought we'd see that.. (walk ons, IMO, they count, but then again they don't count)..

Megathreads are site killers. The fewer the better. Please start a new thread if there is new info.
