Huge run. 5-4. If we can take back the lead in the bottom of the 7th, I think we win.

Scraping back in it. 5-3 with a runner at 3rd.

Hurt ourselves with bad base running again. But big hit from LeFevre undoes that to cut it to 5-4. The crooked number this inning was big.

UConn picks up 2 more runs in the bottom of the 6th to make it 5-4 in favor of Georgia Tech.

UConn making a comeback despite giving up unneeded outs on the base paths.

Easy 1-2-3 inning for Over, including a fly out for hit machine Matt Gonzales.

I was ok breaking for home on contact with runners on second and third. Normally the runner on second can move into third and you aren't that much worse off than you were before, but he had to hold with play in front of him. Getting thrown out at second with nobody out was much less ok.

There are little things situationally that I feel we've done poorly. Hill, Sundberg and Yahn have forced their closer to throw only four pitches for the last three outs. Make him work a little.

Seven pitch inning for their closer. Now we'll see him the rest of the way. Abaolute worst case scenario. Guy has an 0.41 ERA and we don't even make him break a sweat.

This is painful without being able to see or hear it

Devin Over still in for the top of the 8th, and is greeted by a lead off single. He needs to come out.

Now it is the real crunch time for the UConn offense, the bottom of the 8th. They keep fighting back, can they do it again?

Here we go again. A Toppa double scores DeRoche-Duffin to tie the game!

We need one more double. And then three outs in the 9th. Let's get this.

5-5! Rbi single to the opp. field by Topa (sp?), set up by a sac bunt. Runner on 2nd, 1 out.

I'm listening to WHUS, but the game is on the bases loaded channel on ESPN3

I should point out that DD started that rally with a single on the first pitch - after I was critical of the aggressive swinging in the seventh. Quite possible the staff had a good scouting report on Gorst throwing first pitch strikes and wanted everyone to be aggressive.
