Wasn't he already on their staff as some kind of offensive analyst or something?

Yup... he said that being a head coach was killing him (literally). Assistant is more conducive to a better quality of life.

Chip Kelly to UConn. Great regional recruiter--get ready for offensive fireworks.

I didn't sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I did take 2 Lunestas. They are supposed to let you see into the future.

Sounds like he doesn't want to be a top dog anymore... happy as Assistant. Better quality of life.

I don't think that is going to happen if he's a head coach. The guy is a warrior no doubt, but his seizures around gametime are no joke. I wish him the best and hope they're in his past.

Temple hiring Coastal Carolina's offensive coordinator (Dave Patenaude)

    >>A 1990 graduate of Central Connecticut State, Patenaude has been the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Coastal Carolina for the last five seasons. Before that, he was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Georgetown for two seasons. Patenaude also was head coach at New Haven and an assistant at Hofstra, Holy Cross, Columbia, Fordham, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and Springfield College.<<

Dave is a GREAT guy..played football with him in high school. He had back to back raw deals: HC at New Haven when they shut down the program...he went to Hofstra as OC then they shut the program down there. That's when he went to GTown

Some pretty good football coaches have been through UNH -- Palmer, Whipple, Sparano, Rizzi, Rossomondo...
