XL gets BU, Auburn, SMU, Houston, UCF, East Carolina and Memphis (2 Weds, 1 Fri, 2 Sun, 1 Sat & 1Tues).

So only 4 conference games at Gampel vs 5 at XL. At least Cincy is finally back at Gampel, also Temple has been at XL the last couple years.

Been trying to get to Memphis for our game there since we're ended up in this conference and every year it's on a frickin' Thursday night. I fail to understand how the UC game isn't worthy of a weekend draw for Memphis at least once in 4 years.

Looks like a total of 13 games on CBS, ESPN, ESPN2 and Fox (assuming they beat Oklahoma St).

That is down from 15 and 16 the last 2 years. But still pretty good that they show up on CBS twice.

I wonder who ESPN gave the other 2 or 3 games to in the AAC?

In the old big East dsys, it seemed that home opponents would switch yearly between Gampel and the civic center. You guys have been at xl for the last few years, I'm surprised it took this long to get back to gampel.

If we went the entire regular season + conference tournament losing only six games, I would consider it an enormous success.

It sounds obvious, but D-1 college basketball is hard. Even the wins that you take for granted in September - against the Temples and Houstons of the world - are damn hard to get...because you're not just fighting off Temple, you're fighting off their adrenaline that they draw from playing a brand like UConn, you're fighting off a savvy x's and o's guy like Dunphy who spent his entire offseason sitting in a tiny office and scheming against you, and you're probably fighting off some combination of fatigue/bad officiating/the law of averages biting you in the ass, i.e. that 20% shooter from Temple last year hitting like four threes in crunch time.

It isn't that bad. We need to win our games. We can't complain about the schedule if we don't dominate the league and win our games.

Right, the last home game is at Gampel for Senior Day. And it's against Cincy probably because that's the marquee match-up of the league and the game you would want on network TV just before the tournament.
