I live ten minutes from Ardrey Kell. Produced some good football players and its a relatively new school. The Charlotte area just has so many talented football players its dumb, so many guys get overlooked. Glad were looking down here.
A recruiter also went to Providence Day School and talked to my brother (Class of 15, getting looks from Harvard, Davidson, etc, no FBS yet. He's only 6'3 225 but pretty athletic and has good tape). I'll have to ask him the coach's name tomorrow. Glad to know the coaches are making their rounds down here though.

They had a smaller line last year due to a preseason injury and two guys not qualifying to get into the school (private school). He's playing guard this year but he's gone up against and done very well against JebBlazevich (UGA), Garrett Bradbury (NC State), they played Davidson Day with Will Grier (UF) and all those guys, etc.
Same conference as Morgan Roberts who QB's for Yale now. I actually played against Morgan in high school.

I posted about his offer but otherwise no. Some info is that ODU has been recruiting him hard since February and he took a visit there in April. But my sense is that he was really happy about the UConn offer. I'm unsure if he visited or not. The biggest challenger to UConn right now is ODU.

HCBD and the staff appear to be recruiting size at DB more aggressively, no? We need to develop kids this size at that position (CB primarily) more often.Took a visit to UConn recently

Talked to my brother, he's up to 240 already (good for him) and the coach's name that made the rounds throughout Charlotte was Coach Lineburg, ST/Wide Receivers coach. Hopefully they made some good inroads

I assume the Fordham reference is meant in a derogatory way. I continue to trust the staff to evaluate talent. You do realize if we refused to offer kids who only had P5 offers we would not had Blidi, Smallwood, and countless others or have G. Davis, R. Levy, Byron Jones, etc., etc.
But then again, we have so many 6'4" receivers, I could see why we would not want more size at the position.
