Probably gonna see alot of Adams on him if Gibbs puts forth the same defensive effort we saw in the Bahamas

Yeah I thought the same thing. Gibbs is not going to be able to contain this kid if he plays like he did last week.

Looks to me like we will need to get out on Maryland's shooters. They are hitting threes like crazy.

Wow both these teams are really good. offensively that is. KO has good defensive philosphies but gibbs and hamilton have considered defense optional thus far in the season. He's going to need great execution on ball screen defense to beat maryland these guys are great at running a variety of pick n rolls

trimble just dropped nate britt on his ass, what a move.

Trimble's pull up 3's remind me of Bazz

.-.
if we play shltty perimeter D like unc is, i'll lost my like I did during the zags and cuse games

melo keeps doing the same play over and over again... screen up top dribble to the side, pull up and bang a 3

.-.
I think Maryland has a better shot at beating us with Layman/Carter in the front court and three guards. Stone is a player we match up well with, IMO.

Everyone has been making a big deal about tevin Mack and his shooting%, but has there been players hat have shot the ball well in smarts style of offense? Serious question

Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, Iowa State possibly Oklahoma and Michigan St. too. Since the start of the 2012 season, Cincinnati is 60-1 when scoring at least 70 points and have won 49 consecutive games when scoring at least 60.

I think there are 2 or three other teams also that can be added. In my opinion up until tonight Cincinnati has been playing with fools gold. This is coming from a college hoops fan who thinks Cincinnati can make a very serious run in March. Maybe even a surprise appearance in the Final4. Right now defensive efficiency is where you would expect it to be coming in @ #3 nationally per Kenpom. Strength of schedule however is ranked #316 nationally after playing 5 cellar dwellers to start the season.

With adjusted tempo sitting around #275 nationally scoring over 70 won't be easy for Cincinnati without sacrificing in other areas. I would like to see Cincinnati score more from the free throw line going forward. It seems to me starting tonight we will learn a lot about Cincinnati. Good luck because UConn needs Cincinnati to be very good (IMO).

Average length of offensive possession ranks 28th in the country. Average length of defensive possession ranks 344th in the country. Teams have been able to slow us down way to easily.

Cinci butler tied up. Tulsa and ok state playing now

Dammit - Cinci lost to Xavier Butler at the buzzer.

American went 7-1 tonight, but of course lost the biggest game with Cincy losing to Butler. Good win for Tulsa on the road against Oklahoma State. Tulsa has been very up and down so far. Also, Houston blew out Murray State at home. They are supposed to win their league. Really feel Tulsa/Houston are wild cards in this league after the big 3.

Cincinnati and Butler are both sweet sixteen type teams, IMO. Doesn't change the fact that it's a huge missed opportunity for Cincinnati. If you wanna be considered among the elite you have to win those games.

Houston is interesting for sure. They haven't played anybody but they've won all five games by double digits. We should get a better feel for where they are in their next two when they play @ Rhode Island and LSU.

Houston isn't there yet, but they will soon be one of the biggest games on the UConn schedule. You might not like Kelvin Sampson, but he has never failed to win wherever he's been. The Houston area is always loaded with talent, and just like with the football team, they'll stay home if you give them a good option. Probably an NIT team this year, as they learn how to win. Once the local talent sees the results, the recruiting will take off.

Ben Simmons against North Florida with zero defense played.

43 points (15-20/13-15FT), 14 reb, 7 assists, 3 blocks 5 steals

I think it's safe to say he's played his way into the first round no?

40+ points and 10+ boards against a team in one of the worst conferences in DI. That seems awfully familiar...
