One thing to take into account is how and if UCONN will be using the tight end next year or will they go more three wide outs and a spread offense. We won't know that for a while.

My wish list in order:
1) a top OT recruit- preferably JUCO for immediate depth
2) a top recruit at center or guard - again I would consider JUCO for immediate depth
3) a DT
4) a TE
5) a tall WR to fill the G Davis role (the big target)
6) a CB
7) an LB (to maintain depth in the years ahead)

I haven't looked that closely, but it seems we are well stocked at QB (obviously), WR, DE (stocked - but with unproven players), and Safety.

All good choices.....I think regardless of position, just keep stockpiling talent.

Do we think Diaco can bring any of his uncommitted recruiting prospects to UConn? Could be the most exciting Dec/Jan in UConn football recruiting history.

http:// /Coach/Bob-Diaco-208

Hoping.....even PP brought in some last minute talent despite starting later in the process and not having the same reputation.

Other recent info back a few pages but...

Justin Noye ‏@Smooth_NewtonIV32m
I would like to announce my decommitment from Uconn... #FieldDreams

Know he visited ODU recently and Rutgers had offered. But this is a strange re-tweet:

I can understand the reasoning to decommit, but are we really going to miss him? We need kids who are ready to challenge for spots on BCS rosters, not schools who are transitioning or just starting out.

It will be fun to play against him when UCONN is in the B1G in a few years. He will be an interesting case study of what things were like under Pasqualoni, who brilliantly grey shirted the kid when there were scholarships available.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't All State in PA (especially in AAAA) a big deal? He's solid with us, yes?

Yes and yes..

From a JB TOS interview:

>>"I don't know much about Coach Diaco, but he did a great job at Notre Dame," said Carrezola. "They had a great defense and I am very excited to have him as a head coach. I believe in UConn's AD and that he would hire a coach that he believes can change this football program for the better."<<

So let me get this straight. We are getting arguably the best tight end in the state of PA? (Class AAAA ain't no small school) These are writers who voted so I gather this is a state wide first team all state TE...that's coming to little ole UConn?

I'm just going to go right ahead and throw it out there.

That if there were some way to get the olive branches out and heal the relationship between some highly frequented sports enthusiast websites like say the Boneyard and the other sites......rivals? Scout?

It would probably be a lot easier, if websites like scout, rivals, etc......simply just awarded the stars they feel are deserving (whatever that means) rather than have to always try to explain really kind of abstract reasons as to why and how these subjective evaluations by such websites seem to always tend to be a bit lower for UCONN recruits than other schools....especially in situations when the rating clearly seems a bit off from the player, or vice versa.

Just sayin

Might be nothing - never mind.
