It appears that the action for the recruitment of 2014 players has picked up a bit, which makes sense as it is a pivotal year for the Huskies as there are definite holes they will need to fill.

Below is a list of names that have been associated with UConn. A few have been listed under the "Questionable" category as there may have been information indicating that the interest has waned from one or both parties.

If anyone has any additional information, please let me know!

Verbal:
1. Courtney Ekmark. 6'0" G. St. Mary's High School (AZ).
#1 G/#7 prospect overall according to ESPN HoopGurlz 2014 Super 60

Under Consideration:
1. Sierra Calhoun. 6'0" W. Christ the King HS (NY).
#1 W/#10 prospect overall according to ESPN HoopGurlz 2014 Super 60
Has made multiple unofficial visits to UConn, including 2/18/2013.

2. Sadie Edwards. 5'10" W. Blair Academy (NJ).
#9 W/#39 prospect overall according to ESPN HoopGurlz 2014 Super 60
Member of the UConn staff visited on 2/19/2013. Former CT player.

3. Kathryn Westbeld. 6'2" F. Fairmont HS (OH).
#8 F/#31 prospect overall according to ESPN HoopGurlz 2014 Super 60
Made an unofficial visit to UConn 2/17-2/18. Geno has watched her play in Ohio. UConn among her finalists: UCLA, Kentucky, Duke, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and USC are the other six.

4. Gabby Williams. 5'11" G. Reed HS (NV).
#2 G/#8 prospect overall according to ESPN HoopGurlz 2014 Super 60
UConn has been out to see her play. Is a multi-sport athlete (track). Out for the rest of the season due to a torn knee ligament.

5. A'ja Wilson. 6'4" F. Heathwood Hall HS (SC).
#1 F/#1 prospect overall according to ESPN HoopGurlz 2014 Super 60
UConn has been to see her play on multiple locations, including most recently on 2/19/13.

Questionable:
1. Jordin Canada. 5'6" PG. Windward School (CA).
#1 PG/#2 prospect overall according to ESPN HoopGurlz 2014 Super 60
Recent indications are that the recruitment between the two parties has waned. Listed along with USC, Stanford, Cal, and Tennessee as her finalists.

2. LaJahna Drummer. 6'2" F. St. Bernard HS (CA).
#3 F/#5 prospect overall according to ESPN HoopGurlz 2014 Super 60
UConn is listed among her finalists of Cal, Baylor, USC, Notre Dame, UCLA and Texas A&M. No recent information linking the two parties however.

3. Brianna Turner. 6'3" F. Manvel HS (TX).
#2 F/#3 prospect overall according to ESPN HoopGurlz 2014 Super 60
Made an unofficial visit to UConn on 1/27/13 (and one in March 2012). Indications after the visit were that the recruitment had "cooled off." UConn is among her final five: Baylor, Duke, Notre Dame and Stanford.

We need 3 of the "Under Consideration"......Hopefully 2 of the 3 being Calhoun and Wilson....I think they just bring so much talent and versatility to the team. Calhoun because she truly wants to be a Husky ; and Wilson because she replaces so much of what we will have lost to graduation that year.

Come on Geno , round them up , rope'em , and bring them to the stable.

Am hoping we can get a 5 person class.
That would mean 12 players in 14-15.

I believe Calhoun has a scholarship offer so she is free to verbal at an time.

I think we need at least 4. I'd go as high as 6 for the right kids. We need at least 2 players who are 6'2" or taller.
