Some of the matchups/bowls aren't confirmed yet but if AAC gets everything they're negotiating for it should look something like this (minus playoff/access bowls):

#1 Liberty vs B12 #4
#2 Marlins Bowl vs PAC 12 #7
#3-6 Military vs ACC #7-10
#3-6 Compass vs SEC #9-10
#3-6 Armed Forces vs B10 #7-9/MWC #2-3
#3-6 Beef O Brady. ACC #7-10/C-USA #1
Looks like a C-USA/MAC lineup of bowls. It's putrid.

Fond memories of the "Pizza Bowl"!!! Beating Spurrier and taking 3 straight knees at the goal line to end it. :)
FHCRE took the classy road at game's end, but I would rather have punched in the TD for the exclamation point that day. It would have given the old ball coach a taste of his own medicine.

I went back to the hotel and ordered Papa John's. Felt appropriate.

I think not. The Mountain West just announced their bowl lineup and they only have one bowl against the power 5 and that bowl is not even forced to pick their champion. This is amazing compared to anything but the power 5.

It's the only thing Aresco has managed to do right (if it all comes to fruition. Don't get me wrong, it's still a downgrade from where we were, but it's a hell of a lot better than the trash heap of bowls that MWC, Conference USA, et al are pulling.

This makes us the clear # 6 conference in terms of bowls. Hoping we can challenge for at least the # 5 perceived conference year in and year out -- will be tough, but it's not like the ACC added rock stars and we all know their record over the last 10 years.

Let win all the bowl games vs acc!

The biggest problem with this lineup is that the #1 AAC team is screwed if it doesn't get a "BCS" bid. Memphis? Memphis? Ugh!

Agreed. As much as I love uconn I have no desire to be in Memphis. Haven't heard anything good about the city. I feel we can do much better

Memphis is a great city - I visit it often and in the last 15 years I've seen remarkable improvements. Beale street will come to life for a bowl game.

But if I had a preference for our # 1 team (if we didn't qualify for playoff or access bowls) would be a bowl game in Florida... now that's a nice late December vacation.

Although Memphis is a lot cheaper in Dec I'm sure.

I actually could care less about the name of the bowl. As long as we have P5 opponents that will be enough of a sell for me to book a flight and hotel.

Much rather see UConn take on a SEC team in B'Ham bowl than a C USA team in a more 'prestigious' bowl game basically.

Keep in mind neither the AAC or MWC would have put a team in the access bowl last year.

I haven't dug into the MAC, CUSA or Sun Belt yet for 2013. My first glance at Boise and I didn't love their chances.
