Top 6th, a leadoff solo homer off of M. Quigley makes it 7-3 UConn. M. Quigley then strikes out the next 3 batters to get out of the inning with no more damage.

Both Quigley brothers have great stuff. Do either have eligibility remaining after this year?

Bottom 6th, a 1 out double for Freeberger, Huber follows with a 1 out RBI double, 8-3 UConn.

Bottom 6th, with 1 out and runners at the corners, a sac fly by Broadhurst makes it 9-3 UConn.

Will Nowak in to pitch the top of the 7th for UConn.

Top 7th, Nowak faces the minimum with the help of a double play to end the inning after giving up a 1 out single. 9-3 UConn.

Bottom 7th, UConn offense loads the bases with 1 out. However, the Bryant catcher picks off Smith at 1B for the 2nd out. UConn offense leaves 2 runners on base.

Top 8th, Fogell takes the mound for UConn.

Chris Jones has been talking during games how run production is up all over college baseball. UConn pitchers ERA is in the top 75 this season according to Jones, if I heard what he said correctly (have to admit I was slightly distracted doing other postings when he was talking about this). Whatever the case, UConn pitching apparently isn't as bad as some people think if you look how pitching is doing for other college teams.

Yes, I thought they were #74 in team ERA if I remember correctly. Just looked and they are #92 in WHIP. Wake and Tenn are 1/2 at 2.30 and ~3.00 respectively which is pretty incredible given their schedules.

I’m just gonna resign myself that we were spoiled by BP/Closer over the past few years and this year, we may scuffle some games and hope the offense does what they have been doing for the majority of the games.

Bottom 8th, UConn using several pinch hitters. Drew Kron with a 2 out pinch hit single, Morton follows with a 2 run homer, 11-3 UConn.

Top 9th, Justin Willis takes the mound. Other defensive moves:

LF - Brini
1B - Dalena
RF - Morton
