I predicted 15-16 when there were 9 games left, albeit before the injury to JA, and not losing 6 in a row. They could possibly beat Temple if they play an excellent defensive game on Senior Night, and will probably win at EC. Should I be cautiously optimistic this time and go with 16-15? Boneyard predictions?

15-16. Temple trying to play their way out of the “last four in” and we’re trying to get out of 10th place in the AAC.

KenPom has us winning the last two games, so I'll side with him. 16-15.

Does KenPom have a place where it has the prediction, and then the game result? Be interesting to see how its fared with UConn this season.

KenPom has us favored in the next two games, but has our projected record at 15-16. I understand why, and imagine most here do as well.

This might be a dumb question, but does KenPom factor in Jalen's status? I feel like I should know this.

Unlucky that we don’t get to play Tulane twice. Swap them with Temple and I’d say 2-0 easy. But we’ll probably go 1-1. We can go far if we can avoid Houston for as long as possible. Ideally we would’ve had 7 or 10 seed and Cincy as 2 and UCF as 3. Then if we get to the 2nd round, we compete close against Cincy we just have to finish. And we’ve gotten kind of close vs UCF we just have to be hitting lots of shots that game. That gets us to the championship and win -> NCAA. Loss -> NIT. I think if we go 1-1 and 1-1 we can still make the NIT

All that means is that he gives us odds to win both but when you multiply the odds it's less than a 50% chance combined

And will likely get us in the NIT
Here are the current NIT predictions: Bracketology 2019 - NCAA Tournament / NIT Projections

UConn is 14-15 and sits at 96 on KenPom and 94 in NET rankings

Penn State is currently 12-17 ... 43 in KenPom and 48 in NET and projected as a 7 seed in NIT
South Carolina is currently 14-15 ... 94 in KenPom and 96 in NET and projected as a 5 seed in NIT

Hopefully UConn with a winning record can supplant either one of those two, but you never know. Penn State and South Carolina each have a handful of wins that are better than UConn's so we'll see.

Starting to really hate NIT's decision to waive the winning record rule.

I wouldn't be stunned at all if we beat Temple Thursday. We have played well at Gampel all year, and I think we will want revenge for the beating they took down there.

Temple shot lights out, and once Jalen went out, our team was stunned. I also don't think Temple has much of an answer for Josh down low.

I think the team played tight yesterday with Ray in the house. Expect a much better performance Thursday night.

That would be a great ending, in light of all that has gone on. I don't know if we'd get in with a 17-16 record, but it would be great.

What seed do we get if we rattle off 7 straight wins including a few nice ones are 20-15 AACT Champs on selection Sunday? Probably a 13? Last 4 in?

Unfortunately there's no NET Forecaster like there was for the RPI, but 20-15, presuming they beat Houston-Temple-Cincy, probaby gets them to an 11 or 12. They'd have more Quad 1 wins than some bubble teams with Houston-Cincy-Syracuse. If Temple gets there, having lost to us, they might be right on the Q1 bubble as well. Probably, in this imaginary world, it'd be better to do Cincy-UCF-Houston as it guarantees 4 Q1 wins.

I'd wager if they did the latter, they're an 11, if they did the former their a 12.

16-15 because we’re UConn and the culture changes now. Sense of urgency to finish above .500 and carry momentum into the ACC I mean AAC tourney and into next year. In Hurley I trust. Also hopefull Jalen comes back and gets his last shot.

17-16 should be enough to knock Iona out for an eight seed in the NIT. I can't believe I just typed that sentence.
If they get it, in won't be as an 8 seed. There are auto-NIT teams, and just like NCAAT they tend to come from the lower conferences. There aren't 32 open bids.

13 is probably where the "should be" line would be drawn, but they would likely end up a 12.

If by some miracle they get into the NCAAT by winning the AACT, and beat Cincy and Houston along the way, you'd be hardpressed to find some bubble teams with more Q1 wins.

They also don't have any objectionable losses.

Just 3, for instance, would give us the same amount (or more) than:

VCU
Syracuse
UCF
TCU
Florida
Washington
Minnesota
Alabama
Temple
Arizona State
Clemson
Georgetown
NC State

They have some chances for more, to be fair, but that's the context of how crappy this bubble is.

That's true, but all of those teams still get to play games too.

I would guess a 12 and a first round game in Dayton.
