The Friday game was postponed due to weather. This sort of thing happens often enough in college ball, where the last game of the weekend has a travel deadline of some kind. Chris Jones talks about this often enough when it potentially affects the Huskies.
 
Garrett Coe's younger brother Chandler is a big time pitching prospect from what I've read. Wonder if UConn can snag him, also a good tight end with a UMass offer.

Right, I get it while classes are still in session. But now that classes are over why not schedule late flights or even Monday morning flights.

The whole point of moving all the games to Thursday thru Saturday for the final weekend is because of the quick turnaround for Big East Tourney travel. Games start on Thursday.

Listening to Chris Jones. Bottom 9th, Coe gives up 2 walks with 1 out. Passed ball leads to an intentional walk to load the bases. Sac fly, Georgetown with the sweep.
 
Interesting that the called 3rd strike to Dana was very questionable, but now it appears we can't get a strike call
 
Have to win the Big East tournament now. A win today and maybe we could have gotten an at large. Brutal series.

Yep, an unbelievable season may come to an end next week if they don't wake up real soon.
 
Let’s not panic here, I know we are ALL angry about this weekend but Penders, the staff and the team won’t be happy either, they will comeback from this. As someone said, would rather have this now than next week. Just gotta regroup, reset, come back better and focus on winning another Big East Championship. The team knows what they need to do, they will get it done, let’s keep the faith

So if I understand correctly, Peterson is possibly out with a foot injury which means Gallagher will likely pitch Thursday? What did he do to his foot? Shirley, you are a house of horrors.
 
Very embarrassing series. Did the coaches and the players just mail it in? Very surprised that Penders didn't have them playing with a sense of urgency... If they don't make the dance it will be a shame, but unfortunately deserved...

Eh, it would suck to not make the NCAA tourney after dominating all year. Not sure if we really deserve to lose our spot, but yes, we need to rebound fast and win the BE tournament.

Are you serious? Do you honestly think the coaches and players mailed it in? These aren’t professionals. These are college kids who just won 43 games and lost their first series of the year. They don’t deserve to lose their spot. Yes it doesn’t look great getting swept to end the season but look at the body of work over the year. It puts us on the bubble but let’s hope it’s a wake up call for this week.

It's tough with our schedule. Precious few missteps are allowed, especially against a this Georgetown team. So while I hope the late season debacle doesn't overshadow a great season, the margin of error is very skinny I'm afraid. Hopefully, they will have a fire under their butts next weekend. We'll see...
 
I still don't think we're even remotely close to missing the tournament. I understand the Big East is weak this year, but we lost 1 series all season, the fact that it's at the end of the season doesn't make it matter more

The ballpark, plus Georgetown showed they can certainly hit the ball well and hard. Don't know for sure, but the combination seemed to unnerve the pitching staff with the possible exception of Stefanoni. As for the hitters, we both mentioned that UConn was popping the ball up too much this weekend, and with this team, that always seems to be a sign that long ball fever has temporarily overtaken the UConn hitters. It's something that seems to come and go in quick waves with this team. Hopefully it will be gone again by the time the Big East Tourney starts up.

Agree, but I’m a little worried about recency bias. Of course, if we win the Big East tournament, it’s not an issue.
