By the way, I love seeing someone trying to steal 2B with 2 outs. A good percentage play in my mind, as it would normally take two hits to score the runner from 1B.

Top 5th, leadoff single for Yale. Donlan does it again, picking off the runner at 1B for the first out. Plenty of traffic on the bases for Yale this inning, but Cooke strands a couple runners in scoring position for a scoreless inning. 5-0 UConn. Cooke is at 84 pitches.

Devin Kirby was warming up that inning.

Huber getting hot would be huge to help us out of the hitting funk.

Cooke won't be pitching this weekend with the high pitch count.

Bottom 5th, UConn loads the bases with no outs. Brown with a sac fly, everyone on base tags and moves up. 6-0 UConn.

Top 6th, Cooke walks the leadoff hitter (third walk of the game for Cooke). Devin Kirby coming in to pitch. Cooke leaves the game having thrown 89 pitches, and has so far allowed no runs.

Kirby with a scoreless inning stranding 2 runners on base. 6-0 UConn.

Bottom 6th, UConn goes down 1-2-3, it's the only inning so far this game that the Huskies haven't scored a run.

Top 7th, Sam Favieri in to pitch for UConn.

God I wish they had a iso camera on Coach McDonald when Sam plunks the first batter (the audio would get bleeped anyways)…

That would certainly provide some entertainment.

Top 7th, Favieri gives up free 90's to the first two batters, then gets a fielders choice infield out, putting runners on the corners. Brendan O'Donnell coming in to face a lefty hitter. Favieri again having control problems, he's moving himself further down the UConn pitching totem pole.

A 1 out infield rbi single brings in a run for Yale, 6-1. O'Donnell issues a walk to load the bases. An rbi single brings in 2 runs, 6-3 UConn.

O'Donnell comes out, Garrett Coe takes the mound. Coe records 2 outs to get out of the jam. 6-3 UConn.

Phew…let’s hope Stock didn’t ding himself up.

Bottom 7th, UConn leaves runners on the corners. 6-3 Huskies.

Top 8th, Coe with a scoreless inning, he has 2 strikeouts in his stint on the mound.

Coe is pitching well, I'd be inclined to have him on the mound to start the 9th inning.

Top 9th, with 2 runners on base from singles and 1 out, Coe comes out of the game, Justin Willis comes in to pitch. RBI single makes it 8-4. Another bloop single loads the bases. Willis gets a strikeout for the second out, and a ground out to end the game, UConn wins 8-4.

Rough listen w/ the wind into the mic but mucho kudos for Huber, Garbowski and Coe.

I think I'd rather have a lawn mower going on in the background or some of the other distractions that we have had in the past, that wind does make it a tough listen.

Garbowski not quite ready to catch, but he is certainly ready to swing the bat. He is also blessed with a slow heart beat for a freshman.

Penders also liked the sac fly from Chris Brown.

Early flight to Indianapolis this morning, so we have to make sure Chris Jones gets a good 8 hours of sleep. Amusing conclusion to the interview, loved it.
