Top 3rd, a fine defensive play by Daniels ends the inning, 2-0 Georgetown.
 
Bottom 3rd, runners on the corners with 2 out, Studley with an RBI single, 2-1 Georgetown. Broadhurst walks to load the bases, but that is it for the UConn offense that inning.
 
Top 4th, S. Quigley with a scoreless inning after giving up a leadoff walk, 2-1 Georgetown. Quigley with 4 strikeouts on the game, he is at 65 pitches.
 
Nice two out rally. But tell me, Smith's triple is listed as "through the left side," which I would think would be a ground ball, as opposed to "tripled to left," which implies a fly ball or line drives. I don't care how fast someone is, but how does one triple on a ground ball to left?
 
Top 5th, S. Quigley faces the minimum with the help of a double play to end the inning. 3-2 UConn. Quigley at 75 pitches, may be good for a couple more innings.
 
Bottom 5th, a scoreless inning for the UConn offense. 3-2 UConn.
 
Hyde reaches & gets to third on an error on a pickoff, and Smith earns a 1 out walk. Huge opportunity here for Daniels.

Daniels walks after falling behind 0-2 to load the bases for Freeberger. Great at bat.

Freeberger hits into a double play. Arggh!

Bottom 6th, UConn loads the bases on an infield single by Hyde and 2 walks with 1 out. A double play ends the inning with no runs coming in. 3-2 UConn.
 
Top 7th, a leadoff hit by pitch followed by a 1 out single puts runners on the corners. Afthim comes out of the game, Fogell comes in to face a lefty batter. A fielders choice ground out gets the runner at 2B and brings in a run to tie the game at 3. Fogell leaves 2 runners on base.

Top 8th, a leadoff error on Freeberger puts a runner on base. A 2 out double puts 2 runners in scoring position. Fogell coming out, Justin Willis coming in to pitch.

Willis gets a strikeout to end the inning with no runs coming in. 4-3 UConn.
 
Bottom 8th, Hyde with a leadoff single, Drew Kron pinch runs, so Garbowski will catch the last inning.

Smith walks and Daniels reaches on an infield error to load the bases with 1 out. Freeberger follows with a walk to bring in a run, 5-3 UConn. A Studley fielders choice ground out brings in another run, 6-3 UConn. Broadhurst walks to load the bases again with 2 outs. Pitching change.
